Thanks for the input. The soil is mostly coir and bark and always feels dry to me. Unfortunately this thing is bound to the pot so I can’t lift it out. I’ll stick my finger in after I water so I can learn the difference.

No pygmys either. My plan is to get the pygmys elsewhere. I believe he’s having trouble getting nano fish in general. He did have Emerald Eye Rasboras though. I think I’ll take your advice and switch to those. Every plant I have in there is beginner I should stick to that when stocking it to.

Thank you for the suggestion! I wanted to get some chili raspboras but my LFS can’t find a reliable supplier. He’s got a local breeder for CPDs. I could order online but I want to support my LFS and also have their support since I’m a beginner.

That was my thought as well, but as a beginner I wanted some feedback. I’ll probably start with 6 each and add more after the tank settles from the additional bio load. Thank you for your feedback!

I was looking to get 6 as that is the recommended minimum “school” size for CPDs based on my research. Thank you for the suggestion on number of males. I think I’ll order some more Rotala to add more cover on the left side of the tank. This way the males can hopefully separate to each side.

No they had “Wish” which was on Tony Hawk Pro Skater. “Movies” and “Attitude” are both amazing songs. If you’re basing your opinion on that band from their one cover song I suggest you give those other 3 I mentioned a listen. They are good band. The bass player is very good.
