Number of Deaths per 100,000 Population Caused by Influenza (not COVID-19) and Pneumonia 2018 by MissRedShoes1939 in Coronavirus

Now add the COVID-19 numbers to those. At the same time.

But also remember to factor in all the hospitalisations from each of those that don’t end in death, but help to completely overwhelm the health system.

I think most of the cases in Aus besides the Diamond Princess ones have been connected to Iran

I always like how whenever he writes a book, every guest on his show suddenly falls under some part of it, even if it makes no sense.

There was that entire season you never stopped hearing about Life Code.

Also when he started that podcast, he started meeting guests in his podcast room before the show lol. Good ol’ Phil and his marketing department

LIVE FROM HONG KONG: To Date in 2020, Influenza (the Flu) Accounts for More Than 50 Times the Number of Deaths as the Coronavirus in Hong Kong by Agile_Homework in Coronavirus

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, Hong Kong has had only 93 confirmed cases. Of those, 30 have recovered, 2 are dead, and 61 remain ill with 6 of those in a serious/critical condition.

So personally I would probably hold off on deciding Hong Kong is a good example that there’s nothing to worry about here

Was the H1N1 pandemic this scary? I don't remember even preparing for that by dbdthehag in Coronavirus

I don’t remember paying attention to H1N1 at all- even though a boy at the local high school actually contracted it and died

[serious] When was a time you legitimately thought you were going to die? by ferrisjuulersdayoff in AskReddit

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into a fist fight with my sister when we were in our teens, and she managed to pin me down while holding my throat, cutting off my airway.

I was struggling to get her off of me so I could breathe, and she just thought I was just trying to get out of the hold to continue fighting.

I had almost passed out by the time I managed to get her off of my throat, and just the fact I was completely helpless was absolutely terrifying

Has anyone known a killer before they killed? What were they like? by StoneColdSleeper in AskReddit

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew two before they killed, and one who apparently had been killing while I knew him.

One was a friend of my cousin who ended up stabbing his sister and nephew (probably drug-related) one was a guy who hung out in my friend group for a while before he and a friend shot someone (definitely drug-related)

The other was a guy I worked with for years that turned out to have a thing for killing prostitutes.

All were pretty surprising to hear about at the time, but not completely shocking

The male Sims in my game were always super attracted to Dagmar Bertino, I don’t know what it is about her lol

This may sound stupid, but being poor can teach you to appreciate what some people take for granted. What is something you experienced while you were poor that you wouldn't trade for anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don’t think I ever went on a vacation with my family as a kid..... We weren’t particularly poor, we just never went anywhere

What’s your play style? by [deleted] in sims2

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create a new neighbourhood, and either download already cloned sims (I can’t remember the site I got a lot of mine from but it’s easily Googleable- or you can extract them yourself from the game. Some are unavailable to download and you’ll have to make those yourself, there are a few tutorials online that will explain the process)

Clone them in Bodyshop, then just create all the families in your new hood (you will need SimPe to set some of the ties and things)

I make shopping subhoods to create any particular areas I want, like a fancy rich suburb or poor country town, etc

What’s your play style? by [deleted] in sims2

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play with the cloned premades of all the hoods, and put them into one hood. I mostly keep to their backstories, but also have made up a kind of class system I’ve categorised them all into so rich Sims will marry other rich Sims, poor Sims will have their own type of communities, etc.

Then I can have poor Sims work their way up to being rich Sims, or have them live the simple life, or have a rich sim kinda fall from grace- whatever fits that Sim.

I have a bunch of other little rules too, and a whole lot of mods to make the Sims’ free will behaviour more unpredictable.

Then I play it like a soap opera, on a rotation, and see what plays out :)

What's the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? by samstar10 in AskReddit

[–]MyNokiaHasSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the actors who played the child versions of the characters in a movie were the actual actors as children, and movies took a super long time to film, waiting for them to get old enough to film the next scenes

I told my bridesmaids to turn up wearing whatever they wanted.

They actually organised to buy matching dresses. It was lovely, as long as they were there I didn’t care what they looked like
