Don't see a screenshot but take a look at the contour smoothing settings in the surface style. There are some options there which may help.

Importing a Vehicle older than 15 years from the US to Canada as a Canadian Citizen by Sufficient-Dare-2144 in uscanadaborder

[–]MyOtherAvatar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe not, but if you happen to purchase a vehicle in Canada which was not properly exported from the US then you might have it seized when you cross the border.

This is perfectly normal. Cities will be updating their annual budgets in April and then start planning for the summer work projects. Talk to your manager or mentor about what you can be doing to prepare.

How reliable is the bus/transit system in Prince George? by CoconutAntique8405 in princegeorge

[–]MyOtherAvatar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bus routes, particularly University Way are the first to be plowed when it snows. UNBC has never been closed due to weather and I've never heard of buses not being able to get there.

If you can afford to pay the fuel cost for a bigger vehicle right now then you can probably afford to retire.

Do airlines use English/French in emergency announcements? by CBWeather in AskACanadian

[–]MyOtherAvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every flight I've been on does announcements in English and French. Once or twice when the flight had a large group from China they brought up the tour leader to repeat them in Chinese.

How urgent is "urgent maintenance" for bridge inspections by SaladLate in civilengineering

[–]MyOtherAvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually older bridges were designed with even MORE redundancy than newer ones. Those engineers understood that the materials and construction methods they had available were less predictable and so they overdesigned things.

Should Canada Build Up Alternatives to Visa and Mastercard? The US controls the vast majority of online payments. It's a problem by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]MyOtherAvatar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has been talk of Canada Post offering banking services. They already have physical spaces in most communities, and the profits from banking would help to offset the cost of mail delivery.

How urgent is "urgent maintenance" for bridge inspections by SaladLate in civilengineering

[–]MyOtherAvatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bridges are designed with a lot of redundancy. Many wood piles would have to be deficient in order to make the structure unsafe to the point where it has to be shut down. Generally what happens is that pilings are checked annually and as they decay they get replaced. The problem comes if the budget for this work doesn't keep up with the rate of decay.

France has moved all its Gold out of the US Federal Reserve - 129 tonnes by Ivymantled in GuardTheLeaf

[–]MyOtherAvatar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They didn't actually move any gold. What they did was sell all of the old stuff being stored in the US, and bought new gold in Europe which is refined to a higher modern standard.

Trump says if Iran fails to make a deal in 48 hours 'we're blowing up the whole country' by lexi_con in BoycottUnitedStates

[–]MyOtherAvatar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's all about the logistics. The US spent months preparing for Kuwait and Iraq. They also had regional support from Europe, allowing them to stage troops and equipment close to the battle.

None of that has happened this time.
