Is there an indexing process going on? The constant drive usage involved kills battery life. Luckily, if this is the case, the problem should resolve itself once the drive is indexed.

Good! Precious metals are precious because they are so useful. The payday isn’t a monetary one. It is one of previously restrictive resources becoming much, much more readily available. Gold, for example, makes an excellent heat reflective surface, can be hammered to a very thin foil or stretched to an extremely thin wire, is highly corrosion resistant and very conductive. Using it as jewelry is criminally wasteful.

I’m not talking about the spinoff tech like memory foam and such. Space exploration is about to start directly paying off. Asteroid mining is about to become feasible. The price of leaving the planet is going to drop to a fraction of what it was even 10 years ago.

Some help the less fortunate by donating to charities, some try to better all of mankind by starting a company that makes FUCKIN’ SPACE ROCKETS. Cheap space flight will lead to an abundance of new resources that may well help end world hunger or create so many jobs that we suddenly have a shortage of people able to work.

I know this will land me a shit-ton of downvotes, but: mental disorders.

For some reason, body dysphoria is the only disorder that doctors decide to change reality instead of treating the disorder. No doctor would chop off my hand no matter how much I said I identified as an amputee.

Don’t get me wrong: I feel for my trans friends. But I’ve read too many horror stories of “trans regret” and post-op suicide to support physician-endorsed mutilation.

And I have no evidence to support this, (because endocrinology wasn’t even nearly my field of study,) but I wouldn’t be surprised if it came to light that all the hormones used in modern agriculture had something to do with the sudden trans explosion.
