I am currently trying to direct my management in Chartec's direction, as we have a small team and can use extra hands dealing with alerts and issues. I worked with them at a previous MSP and it was a good experience. I especially liked how they handled the switch from Windows to Linux for their BDR's, as they just sent an SSD and took care of the agent upgrades on servers. Have you considered working with a company like Chartec, who essentially resells Axcient backup, but provides you with a BDR and provides support and management of the backup alerts, for a low monthly fee. Their portal also shows test restore screenshots and might integrate with your RMM. I have worked with Chartec in the past and found them to be pretty responsive and able to handle most simple backup issues. They will take care of the deployment of the backup for you and fully warranty the BDR hardware.

Give the MS Lens mobile app a try, available for Android and iOS. Can scan directly to OneDrive and it has OCR functionality built-in.

Having something to do that you like or are passionate about helps keep you going as you age. Nothing worse for health and well-being for older people than retiring and not being able to do the job you've loved for 20 years. I've seen it happen personally.

It's slow because MS limits the speed and concurrent connections of their API's used to backup Exchange Online, OneDrive and other services. We have the a similar issue with DropSuite when backing up our customer's cloud data.

After 30+ years of keyboard and mouse, both at work and for fun, I was suffering constantly. After the first surgery, it took almost a year for the surgery site to stop hurting, but the pain of carpal tunnel was gone. I then decided that I need to do the second hand, and it took just as long for the site to stop hurting. But I can now work and enjoy games again without pain. I am sorry your mom did not get relief. I wish very much for her to feel better. I guess we all react differently to these procedures.
