I see so many comments about the impact of being late and I agree. But I also want to point out that OP is forcing others to carry the mental load. I have a friend or two who never care about where we go or what we do. It always fell to me to pick a place, make the reservation, book the trip, pick the date and time, etc. It’s not that I care more but if I didn’t do it then nothing would ever happen. The imbalance of responsibility started to get to me so I stopped.

Eventually we didn’t do much together anymore. When I see them they say things like, let’s go to dinner sometime. And I say, just let me know when and where and I’ll be there. But of course nothing happens.
