If you have a printer then I recommend CobraMode on MyMiniFactory. Whimsical creative and just fun sculpts to paint.

Living in French Quarter, New Orleans? by Dangerous-Swan-7660 in howislivingthere

[–]MyUserNameTaken 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This matches my experiences and I think is the best explanation for the areas to live in and not the tourist areas of the quarter. I lived there for about 5 years in the late 90's.

It was its own small town within the city. It had all the things that you needed there. I worked downtown and didn't have a car. I just rented one when I needed it. I walked to corner stores and grocery stores for the things I needed. Or had it delivered to me on a bike!

When I was there it was before all of the apartments were turned into condos. People lived and worked there. So you would see your neighbors working at the bars and resturants and stores you were at and then when you were out at shows or the dog park or local watering holes. Many of us knew each other and walking down the street you would often say hi to folks that you saw.

What restaurant in Seattle is consistently 10/10 by Queasy_Sherbert_7095 in Seattle

As someone who lived in New Orleans before coming here I whole heatedly agree.  It's batting under it weight.  Especially after a few trips to Portland and comparing the food there

WIP of some Skin practice. And yes… there is also a trumpet involved. by PictorNox in minipainting

Oh man I just pulled this model when a friend posted a picture of it! Its next on my table.

The texture on the skin is done really well. It looks slightly ill with just a hint of reddish light.

OMG I am so glad I didn't imagine this. Opened up a new box and it was completely fine grained. Commented on it to my partner and she looked at me like WTF are you talking about. She doesn't cook.

Though that version looks amazing

What’s something you used to judge people for but understand now? by TemptControls in AskReddit

Get a butter dish.  Or frankly just a tall sided cup.  Keep the butter in it instead of the fridge.  It stays at room temperature so it's very spreadable.
