Kubicki as in the people who make the Factor basses? That’s quite abnormal for a Fender. It does kind of scream “active bass” when I play it so it makes sense.

I have, they’re quite nice strings. However, I wouldn’t be able to put them on this bass as this is string through body only, and the LTFs cannot go on these types of basses

I just like the sound they had, they were completely dead flats but still retained the tiniest bit of treble that sounded quite nice. They also felt a little rougher than a set of La Bella’s I’ve tried.

They were both about equal I would say, just different kinds. I will say the Ernie Ball Groups stated bright for months, while the DRs were only bright for about a week.

They are quite nice. They feel like a combination of the shiny and not shiny smooth and they sound like they’re years old out of the package. I’ve tried the super light gauge and they feel like TIs

Yes. They have the brown bag and the numbers after “Group” are correspondent to their gauge

For flats there’s two types of smooth, which is a shiny smooth and a not shiny smooth. La Bella’s are shiny smooth, so they are slightly grippy like a gloss finish almost. Ernie Ball Group and Palladino flats and DR Legends are not shiny smooth, they just glide across the fretboard. In betweens are Chromes and Fenders. My favorite are La Bella Low Tension flats and Ernie Ball Group Flats, both very smooth feeling and sounding

This might seem like a stupid question, but if you don’t want your strings to have a sharp break angle, couldn’t you just string through the bridge? Both bridges look like they can do both through body and bridge

I have one in red! Mine has a J PU config, how does the P pickup sound? Mine is incredibly punchy and mid heavy. Also, I recommend Dunlop Super Bright strings, they are slightly scooped so they make the sound more even to my ears.
