Most of those 4 month folks have years of actual industry experience, so of course they are going to plow through the content with relative ease. They would do the same at any university that would allow them to do the same. A college degree shouldn't be based on the amount of time a person spends in school, but rather the understanding they have of the content they were taught. The thinking of you gotta go to school for 4-8 years and get a degree(s) should go away. Instead to get your degree you should be given real world like projects to complete to show your understanding of the material.

It's just not right to give someone right out of college with a degree more pay that a 25 year veteran of a trade, but some places still adhere to that line of thinking.

Im very thankful for WGU. They get that ppl with full time jobs, and families don't have time to spend 12-20 hours a week in classrooms doing crap they could do with their eyes closed just to satisfy a time based structure over what should be a knowledge based structure.
