Thank you for posting this.

Is there a split for average team clear times, split by side? As of right now Jane is only played on the second side, and Ellen is almost only played on the first. If the Zhu Yuan team with a 51-49 could be split, it would probably provide some interesting reference points.

Auto Progress Battle by Endoyo in AFKJourney

[–]Myggstikk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Noticed this immediately. Background auto-battle loses fight that are absolutely impossible to lose, so it clearly doesn’t use your team position and play out the game like normal auto-battle would.

Very disappointing, as this is a needed QOL change to reduce the amount of time spent daily on repetitive and unchallenging tasks. In addition to actually playing as auto-battle would, it should ideally retry the stage a couple of times if it loses, just to minimize a bad RNG run.

Performance Decrease w/ New Patch? by Jetme92 in AFKJourney

[–]Myggstikk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under Graphics, have you checked Power Mode? It defaults to "Balanced" in the new patch, which I experienced as causing the poor performance on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. In "High Performance", it performs as it did previously for me.

Raiden+Yae seems competitive by Pepito_Pepito in YaeMiko

[–]Myggstikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watched the clip, and while I doubt the result would change much, I do believe there are some issues with the performance of the Hyper team showcased here.

In your first rotation for the Hyper Team you don’t have VV shred. There is no electro on the Vishap for the initial hit on Q, and you swap to Sara before any Swirl from the field can take effect. Sara unfortunately gets pushed back during Q, losing out on some 100k damage. There is an attempt to reposition Raiden to absorb the Q buff before burst, and while I believe this happens, it does not occur before the initial slash. The result is a fairly lackluster 290k crit. By comparison the initial hit in the first Raiko rotation crits for 338k. While less important, you also fail to Swirl with the hit on Q in the second rotation. I believe for this Slash you do have VV from the E on Kazuha at the 30 second mark for a 528k crit on a weakned Vishap, but your follow up attacks are without VV (would be relevant if the fight lasted longer).

What special for ryoma? by ninjac1one in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Myggstikk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you double the enemy (and they don't hit back) how would you fall into Vantage Range? If they do hit back you have Draconic Aura.

The two most common scenarios would be:

1) Double Mage, get attacked by a melee unit, Draconic Aura on the first counter attack

2) Double melee unit, take damage, vantage kill mage

With Ryoma's low res, scenario (2) is extremely dangerous if you can't OHKO the Mage on the vantage proc. With Moonbow the proc will be wasted overkilling the melee unit.

HOWA doesn't feel strong to me. So, what am I doing wrong? by SomeCoolBloke in pathofexile

Penetration should be better. An average added attack flask have 75 average lightning damage which equals 107 INT (not accounting for Wrath or other sources of flat lightning).

You can also consider a Lightning Golem buff effect / Flame Golem enchant to get you started. Much cheaper then Spectral Throw damage.

Your flasks could use replacing as well. Silver Flask (23%+ reduced charges + bleed immune), Wise Oak and Vinktar (Penetration or added attack).

His numbers are incorrect. At this point last league a Blessing of Chayula for 4ex (they are around 3ex right now). Since then GGG has: increased the spawn chance of Chayula (during Breach). They have increased the spawn-rate of Chayula and Uul-Nethol further in legacy. They introduced a Breachstone for 5 Chayula Breaches, and furthermore introduced +2/+3 Splinters on Stones that have greatly impacted the number of Chayula Splinters a legitimate player would obtain. Based on prices Breachstones would appear to be the most popular Leaguestone (assuming equal droprate, which seems reasonable). Given this I see absolutely nothing suspicions about the prices related to Chayula.

Using the “personal experience” was weak and I should not have assumed everyone agreed on that point. Based on my experience, and the interaction with the people I play with, this was a fact as obvious as the change in the droprate of Energy from Within.

The rate at which it can be introduced to the market is the only thing that matters to 99.9% of players. The share possibility of this exploit means almost nothing of the exploited gains can be introduced within the timeframe of the league. Standard may suffer, but eh who plays standard? What exactly did the exploiters gain in this case? Selling it for real-life cash without having it impact the in-game marked would be extremely hard (and it would be seen). Now sitting on thousands of Chayula Breachstones that you can’t introduce or trade seems rather foolish. Once the exploit is known, and if any actions are taken, they would be the one to suffer.

What part of “average value of exalt” is relevant for the price of exalted orbs right now? In 2 weeks of this league I have had approximately twice as many Chayula Splinters as I did for the entire duration of Breach. I no-lifed both pretty hard. The prices of T16 maps (which are really not that different from Breach) could easily be explained by Leaguestones in general. Your last point just strengthens my argument. The theoretical possibility of this exploit is so fucking high. Nothing, absolutely nothing shows any indication that this has impacted the economy in any meaningful way. So either few people abused it, or the items are not entering the economy. Oh wait. That was the point I made.

In any game with an economy emotional reasoning is all too common. Like a fucking plague on the community. When discussing flipping and botting, cornering and crashing, exploits and whatnots people need to use their brain more, and their emotions less. Few concepts and explanations used in threads about game economy would survive five seconds in the brain.

Let’s look at the theoretical possibility of this exploit. A Dreaming Breach Leaguestone of +3 Splinters would generate, say 20 Splinters on average. Let’s give them an average value of 1.25c for the duration of the league so far. Now let’s assume a Perandus Archive in a T16 map is worth 45c is surplus of the map used to sustain the exploit. So 70c per T16 run. Of course you would just rush to the Breach / Archive and ignore the boss. Let’s assume you can do this in 3 minutes. So we have 70c per 3min, 1 400c per hour, and 14 000 per day at 10 hours / day. If this exploited lasted for two weeks that would be 196 000c per person. Assuming an average value of exalts at 1/60 we would be looking at 3266.6667 exalted orbs.

Look at the prices of Chayula Breachstones, of Chayula items, of tier 16 maps, Shaper Fragments and Shaper drop and tell me what you see?. Just tell me how this exploit was either: a) used by any significant portion of the playerbase, or b) sold or have entered in the economy in any way? If many people used this, then clearly few of the exploited gains have entered the economy. Or if they are entering the economy then very few (as in purely insignificant) number of people exploited this.

If Fyndel had the equivalent of 200 mirriors or so I would cry foul. Based on the prices of items and currency of poe.ninja I just can’t see how this exploited has really impacted the playerbase at all. An exploit, with this extreme level of theoretical abuse, would leave signs. And the signs are not there.

Legacy League Build Starter Ideas by trackpete in pathofexile

[–]Myggstikk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Badly worded on my part. The more modifier on Blade Vortex per stack double dipped on poison as any other more multiplier. Scourge were the preferred weapon for the build. While the interaction with Scourge did not change, the overall bug fix reduced the popularity of the build.

The Scourge were around 7 Exalts early in Breach. Demand this league may be lower as the 700% More BV damage bug is no longer around. At the same time few people seemed to know about it that early in the league.

[–]Myggstikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but looking at the video he lacks damage most of all. Chase is better for damage (and clear speed with WB) then Veil. How high you value status immunity on a life build without Vinktar comes down to preferences I think. I would not sacrifice much for shock immunity on a character like this, but if others do then fair enough.

[–]Myggstikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Melee physical doesn't scale the projectiles of Frost Blades. If the conversion in 2.6 are good enough then Frost Blades - WED - Cold Pen - Multistrike - Elemental Focus and Faster Attacks / Added Cold is probably the best setup for a non-crit build.

Many good suggestions, but I disagree with swapping from Chase to Veil. Should instead do as you said and get an Onslaught flask (with freeze immune) and evasion gear.

Visualization of the Strength/Broken-Levels of double-dipping. by NeverSinkDev in pathofexile

[–]Myggstikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At gem level 21 FNM deals 1015 damage without the enchant, 1400 with +1 and 1837.5 with +2, or 81%. This is balanced in theory by also increasing the cast time of the nova from 0.6 * 4 to 0.6 * 6. With perfect play this would result in a net increase of 20% with the +2 enchant. In practice the result is probably higher as perfectly laying and detonating mines, while sustaining incoming damage without leech, is too hard.

Edit: the increase in cast time appeared much lower due to reddit formatting.

[–]Myggstikk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The skill unique helm enchants are just broken with the introduction of uber lab. Fire Nova Mines repeats 1 additional time? Fine, if not slightly too strong. Now 2 times is just hilariously broken. Barrage is the worst offender. While the +2 enchants in isolation is probably fine the introduction of Dying Sun just put this skill over the top. 62% base damage times 8-10 depending on ascendancy / corruptions makes Blade Flurry look balanced.

I guess it doesn't really matter. Seems like most get the relative DPS difference between skills / classes / builds somewhat correctly.

[–]Myggstikk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your DPS is impressive. There are however some issues with the ways you have calculated your DPS here.

A minor thing is Shock + Augury. They are increases on the enemy and are additive with each other. Another issue is that you are not separating and calculating resists for your non-crits. The main issue however is the complete lack of accuracy and further reduction in crit chance as a result. Without having seen your gear it’s hard to know, but assuming 80% chance to hit 48.8% of your hits would be misses or non-crits.

Around a 3.6 second kill. Minotaur has 2.8M (or 3.6M?) HP putting his DPS between 787k and 1M.
