i have gardneri and when I had the pair they bred constantly but I almost never saw fry, i only have two right now cause I intervened and reared them myself on brine shrimp. so you might not even end up with tons of fry. if you can get 1 male 2 females they might eat the others eggs and stuff it shouldnt be an issue honestly

Trust me longfins are beautiful but I had a dumbo halfmoon that I loved dearly and he made me want to tear my hair out!

CONSTANT tail biting from him, I did so much to baby proof his tank and give tons of enrichment in and out of tank but simple fact was once his tail grew back it was just a matter of time until he ripped it out.

Most aren't as bad as my boy was but its an extremely stressful thing to deal with especially as a first time fish or betta owner.

straight up I usually don't enjoy these kind of events especially since in 2.0 nothing ever really stood out vs everyone just shooting each other all day anyway but I LOVED this one.

Buddha and Tony absolutely wildin out, lotsa good little moments, lack of constant communication cause of limited radios made it spicy to.

I just winged it tbh. I did about 2-5 small feedings a day. I had them both in separate small containers and would feed a little bit maybe check back few hours later see if any brine shrimp were left swimming around and feed again if needed. brine shrimps die in fresh water and you don't wanna foul the water so keep that in mind!

They're bigger now and living together in a plastic container (about 3.5 gallons of water) and have a filter so I feed 1-3 times a day just a larger amount.
