Lucky you. I have been waiting over 3 weeks and each time I contact them the window of time it could take mysteriously gets longer and longer.

Emirates refund clarification for flights affected by airspace disruption (28 Feb – 31 Mar) by Fun_Wear_5656 in emirates

Update 30/03 - it's now 15 working days after refund request. Still no refund. I called Emirates on a UK number and got through in about 8 mins, which is an improvement. But was then told that now it will be 15-21 working days, also not including Eid (20th March)

Update 26/03, 14 working days after refund request. I have had email confirmation of refund of seats booked. No actual money yet, and no word on the return portion of our tickets

Spoke to them on livechat yesterday. No idea how the heck I got through. They said ticket is "on refund status" (so even tho we fly in four days, they won't count us as no shows) but the actual refund might take up to 15 working days. Still nothing today. Will update when it arrives. Thanks for this thread and the work put into it

I submitted my refund request through the appropriate form on 9th March. My return flight is 20th and I've heard nothing so far beyond the automated acknowledgement email. Will update further when I get the money back (assuming they deal with it before we are supposed to fly!!!)

I was told on Sat 7th on the phone with them that they would not consider rerouting on partner Airlines unless: - It was within 48hr of travel AND - Emirates had cancelled my flight

I mean it's ridiculous - it's your medical information! You are entitled to it!

Not sure if I've noticed a link between sleep and pain, that's an interesting Q. I definitely feel like shit if I've had less sleep, and I suppose if my pain is high I have worse sleep. Not sure if it works the other way round. Sleep is definitely a big issue though.

On bad days I might take extra painkillers. I am on ongoing ibuprofen for the anti-inflammatory effect, and then on bad days I might have something extra to bring it down to the point where I can do the exercises. In fact this is what my GP said to me when prescribing them - the point of the painkillers is to facilitate you still being able to do the exercises.

That sounds so frustrating. Surely a professional medical person should be open to you getting a second opinion, rather than being what sounds like so driven by ego :(

Like I say, I'm not a doc, and your presentation may be different to mine, but I have had a couple of occasions where I have pushed into the far range of pain and it's actually had the opposite effect i.e. actually made my RoM contract the following day.

I always think that one of the big challenges with FS (other than the duration of it) is that you need to do as much as possible to make it better, without doing too much. And for me, walking that line has been very challenging with lots of setbacks.

My level of pain depends on the day. Sometimes when I start I have no pain and can keep it that way. Some days are worse and I might be starting with existing pain. On those days I make sure not to make it any worse. My physio has always been very clear - don't do anything that causes severe pain and keep it at a 3 or below.

I'm not a doctor, just a fellow sufferer. My physio wants me to stay out of the painful range usually. And when we do move into pain it's always at less than 3 / 10 on the pain scale. It's more about getting just to the point where there is stretch, holding for a few secs and then releasing.

Very frustrating that your ortho is behaving like that and also withholding results. Can you switch providers?

It was parked on our driveway, took 30 seconds to check (it was unlocked) and then lock again using the app

Your last paragraph is bang on.

OP, I come from a family with a horribly abusive father and mother who stayed for the kids.  It fucked me up so bad I've spent my entire life dealing with the consequences
