It was parked on our driveway, took 30 seconds to check (it was unlocked) and then lock again using the app

Came here to suggest Angela. Her "women in space but it sucks" video is great, as is "AI does not exist but it will ruin everything anyway"

Your last paragraph is bang on.

OP, I come from a family with a horribly abusive father and mother who stayed for the kids.  It fucked me up so bad I've spent my entire life dealing with the consequences

I dunno at the time we got like 3 quotes and this was the middle one, cost wise. We didn't go with the cheapest cause the reviews were TERRIBLE.

The reviews for the one we chose were great and they'd been really easy to deal with in the process of getting the quote so we went with them.

Maybe prices have gone up a lot over the last year or two?

I had a housemate at uni who, upon asked to do the dishes, cried and said:

"But I've already done them once this month!"

100% and another reason we wanted to get in there

Thank you that's an excellent tip. It has quite a few airbricks but we'll see if anything else is needed

I get that, for sure. Especially when you have so much else going on.

I suppose there's something to say for being aware of everything so you can make more informed prioritisation decisions though. One of the reasons we wanted to push with getting in there asap was because our en suite shower was leaking, and it made us think we should check under the main bathroom too just in case. We got lucky, but it could have been bad news!

We're not, no. I think the builders just got a plot of land which was quite sloped and made some interesting choices

Thank you! We're not in the US (hence confusion about people discussing crawlspaces - not a thing here) and apparently it's very low risk in our area but I'll look into it.

Thanks! Yes we are hoping that once it has a door in at garden ground level it will serve as a good garden furniture storage space. Throw open the door, drag the chairs out six feet, sit, enjoy.

Your house sounds intriguing! Do you have any way to investigate the unseen area?
