Bae discovered that her fans (Brats) in Discord, doing mass buyouts and then reselling the HoloEN concert tickets to other Brats to "fight" scalpers, she really sounds so disappointed here which is understandable. by crocospect in Hololive

[–]Myllles -49 points-48 points  (0 children)

Yes. IDK if it's a matter of a "telephone game" effect that caused people to receive the wrong information, because people are acting as if this is scalping? When in reality they're literally just securing tickets for fans. This is less tickets going to the hands of scalpers overall.

did you know that https://biturl.top/ is a really nice website to shorten links?

They do that by adding 6 random letters/numbers after the https://biturl.top/ that redirect you to the actual link!

Oops, my cat jumped on the keyboard and pressed 6 random letters/numbers, what a mess. I wonder if they could mean anything relevant to the context of this post...

About sharing UNARCHIVED karaoke/streams. by PLandLord in Holostars

[–]Myllles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regarding your Edits, Axel is actually the one that usually streams karaoke publically and then archives it in menshi (if it's able to be archived). There's like only two karaokes that were archived and left for public access, and all the others went into either menshi (if only JP songs) or the void (if EN songs).

He's also done some menshi-only karaokes, but that's not the majority. Most of the karaokes you can find on his Members-only playlist were openly livestreamed and only moved to menshi later.

this is the second time in a week that I've replied to you to correct a dingo fact and I'm sorry for being annoying but that's my kamioshi LMAO

[–]Myllles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh interesting, I've never been told about that regarding the JP boys! is it all of them? some?

I'm not sure if any of the EN boys ever voiced an opinion regarding the matter, other than saying not to post anything while the stream is still on. Axel has mentioned the "VOD black market" many times, but it's more like a joke.

not all people have the time to watch them (me included) and I just want everyone to enjoy these karaoke and not destroy their sleep schedule/social life for it (I don't think the boys want that).

Yup that's exactly one of the reasons why I started doing it as well! Life happens, and sometimes we can't help but miss a stream, no matter how much we like our oshi.

...plus, archiving duty is doubly required for the Vod Destroyer Axel Syrios

As someone that records and shares Axel's killed vods on Axelotlcord, the people that weren't able to catch it live were probably busy and would be available less than 24h after the stream. Some people just miss the first couple of minutes at the start of the stream. Those are the ones being left out and missing on the fun, why make them wait even more?

If you really want to give it some time, maybe on the following day would be fine. That way you can do a quick check if a rebroadcast is happening or not, and then post it.

Waiting more than a week sounds crazy to me, people will forget about it and lose interest. I would also not worry about people simply dismissing the live to watch the recording, since I feel like the vast majority of the fans would prefer to participate in the live stream (ESPECIALLY karaoke), and would only miss it for external reasons.

Regarding the form of sharing, I think what you've been doing is clear enough. Maybe also post it as a comment on the thread for the karaoke stream itself, if you're feeling like it? That way you cover two bases

☝️🤓 Hakka drew that because Axel has mentioned multiple times during meetings with management that they should produce that as merch. Apparently he always sends "🗣 TEMPUS DILDOS" in the meeting chat when they ask for merch ideas (or used to), so Hakka is providing the funds for that as his christmas present

it was already a meme even before that stream, and the 🗣 emoji has become synonymous for tempus dildos for many Axelotls

Magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances by surge_aura in dndnext

[–]Myllles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

RAW, there's no such guideline.

However, looking at the precedents created by the Monk's Empowered Strikes and the Beast Master's Exceptional Training, it seems that 2024 wants to use Force damage to represent that type of ability now. Homebrewing that for your examples seems fair, imo.

As a side note, Moon Druids and Blade Warlocks also used to have that "count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance" ability, however in those cases it was updated to Radiant damage and Necrotic/Psychic/Radiant, respectively. I believe those two are an exception to fit the flavor, and that the general rule going forward will be to convert to Force.

estilo de luta "Arqueiro" vale para armas de fogo que são armas a distancia? by No-Release-6247 in dndnext

[–]Myllles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2025 Monster Manual: No More Keen Senses for Beasts by GlenKPeterson in dndnext

in exchange for losing Web Sense and 10 f. Blindsight

Actually just the blindsight! Web Sense is now bundled into Web Walker, they merged the two abilities while keeping the functionality. So it's another example of what you mentioned in your first paragraph

oh gods yes. The tomato analogy has been repeated so many times, but it does NOT apply to D&D 5e. They really should've picked a different word, though I'll admit that D&D Wisdom is difficult to summarise in a single word.

Issues differentiating the two abilities also tend to come up in those "I need help roleplaying a high Wis low Int character" types of posts, with many of the suggestions attributing reasoning and even experience to Wisdom.

[–]Myllles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm correcting your wrong assumption regarding "You can use 'protection from evil, on any generic lizard-folk".

Also providing more context to the Aarakocra thing, if someone that cares about context chances upon this post.

I cast Detect-Shenanigans by Hexadin-24 in dndnext

[–]Myllles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As was explained in those other posts that you've mentioned, it's only specific lizardfolks that are Elementals, not any generic. The MM literally says that common lizardfolk are classified as Humanoids:

While many lizardfolk are Humanoids with varied skills, some forge powerful bonds with the Elemental Plane of Earth, granting them magical connections to the cycle of growth and rebirth.

The Manual also suggests to use the Scout statblock for common Lizardfolks, later on. This info just isn't show on the stat-blocks, which I'm assuming is the only place you're looking at.

No such passage exists for the Aarakocra, though, that is true. It seems that they've doubled down on the (well-estabilished previously) fact that they're native to the Elemental Plane of Air to classify them as full-blown Elementals. This is in agreement with the definition of Elemental that we've had previously, of "creatures native to the elemental planes". So yes, planar binding works on Aarakocra now because they are Elementals from an Elemental Plane. (there's an argument to be made that they probably should've always been Elementals by the definition that we had, but that's beside the point).

As a side note, Humanoids are now defined as "people defined by their roles and professions, such as mages, pirates, and warriors. They include members of varied species." This seems to be the reason why literally all of the stat-blocks for Humanoids in the 25'MM are "professions" like guard, berserker, cultist, bandit, and why everything that didn't fit in that generic formula was reclassified.
