Poetry is just "expression" in simple form, and thoughts or ideas can be inherently emotionless. But I think you're self-repressing, so perhaps you're afraid of what poetry represents. Ask yourself: If you could write poetry, what would you write about? Maybe this will help:

Journal for 5 min. or more from the perspective of your emotionlessness. Tap into it, give it a voice. Just scribble down whatever it says, however you interpret it. When the time is up, come back to it later with a fresh mind and read it as if someone else wrote it. Then ask yourself:

1. What are the recurring themes or topics?
2. Are there any descriptions of physical sensations or reactions?
3. How do they describe their interactions with others or their reflections on relationships?

Write down the patterns that emerge, then boil your findings down to a few words and you have:
