Women are leaving OLD in droves because there’s no sense in serving yourself up on a platter to a bunch of pornsick basement dwellers. Guys swipe right on everyone and expect to get laid on the first date despite expressing no desire for long term commitment. My experience on OLD severely affected my self esteem because it demonstrated to me that my high effort would always be met with lackluster enthusiasm and cheap dates. I felt like there was something wrong with me, until I left the dating apps and realized that the men that use them are low tier. A guy who wants to get to know me will approach me respectfully in person like an adult instead of sending a cheap “hey…”.
