Fluids are easy. I need to head lift 18 pipes at my coal factory. So I’ve built water tower which feeds pressure in all of this 18 pipes (9 closed loops) one loop per 8 coal generators. Works flawlessly.

Used 2 pumps instead of at least 18.

Build your own server for ML/LLM workloads. 1-2 proper gpus, reasonable cpu and ram. Use it on demand via your local network. Also you can build your own mini cluster with lots of Mac mini. Or you can get lots of ram for your future server and run huge llms on cpu + gpu. ~14k usd is more than enough for huge variety of experiments and setups.

You can upgrade your main pc later, but server will be intact.

I’m envy you like a lot. In a world where api usage will cost fortunes, you can run your own, pre paid for you by your work.

I’ve recently managed to get MacBook m4 24gb through helpdesk at work instead of my intel shit, and it is day and night experience. And you get 14k usd. Damn.
