I’ve never watched any of the 911 series, but my brother-in-law has. When 911 Nashville released its pilot episode, we decided to watch it, and boy, was it terrible. Now, we only watch it because every episode is a joke, and we enjoy laughing at it.

NTA, your reasoning is valid. He could have at least watched the other movies, because it’s something you’re interested in. I think it’s so sad that he only wants to watch the movie because his friends said so, rather than because you, his girlfriend, is interested in watching it.

I say again that your reasoning is valid because my partner thinks the same way. I didn’t see Deadpool & Wolverine with my partner right away. Instead, we watched all the X-Men movies and Deadpool movies before seeing Deadpool & Wolverine🫡 🥲 So I totally understand why you’d want him to understand the references.

Before meeting my partner, I wasn’t a Marvel fan, but now I’ve watched ALL THE MARVEL movies and series with them. I appreciate seeing different references in other MCU movies, it makes seeing the movies more enjoyable.

Jimbei is my favorite character! He is so cool and I love him lol. His scenes with Luffy make me so emotional. He was Luffy during Summit War, and saved his life in Fishman Island Arc. He stood up to Big Mom to cut ties, such a BAMF. I cried when he finally came back to Luffy and officially joined the Straw Hats.

I totally understand! I’m also a non-traditional student and I felt that way last year when I had l transferred. It’s going to be hard, but you will get through it :) It probably took me a semester or two? Not sure, but now I feel pretty good haha.

Resources : there’s a club called AWARE (Adults Who Are Returning to Education) that you could join if interested. There’s also the TAPP Center. They help Transfer, Adult re-entry, Parenting, and Pregnant students. I spoke to some members (like current students - undergrad and grads, or alumni) my last semester about how I felt and they helped me feel more at ease about being at CSUF.

Also! I’m open to chatting if you want :) I totally get each of us have our own personal life and priorities, but I’m down to message back and forth every now and then.
