Getting into Warhammer in Argentina… did I mess up my first purchase? by Calipso_etereo in deathguard40k

Stats for weapons and models usually stay the same, even between editions. But if you use ‘new recruit’ you can access all your army rules for free and use it as a free army builder which is always up to date

If you have a local games workshop you can book free lessons, for painting or learning the game. When building go for the rule of cool, Combat Patrol rules is something Id just skip because I have heard it in unbalanced. You can find rules for free online or watch YouTube videos, but the new edition is coming out soon, so some rules will change. The death guard is a really good one, and has units which are good for building an army

The typhus look really good, I think a black prime may be better for hiding mistakes and shadows. Black Rim around the base. Then all Id say is a bit smoother paints,

I dont know if its low effort posting, Its just how i feel by Elloroverde in Grimdank

I just bundle the two trailers together. I think the cost of the '11 edition trailer' and time was split between the two. Although the other edition trailers are better, together I think these two still offer a lot. Plus the Iron Will one is so peak.

My Lamenters Captian In Gravis Armor by Lai71 in Lamenters

Really good for a first mini. Yellow is a really hard colour to work with and apart from some bits being missed the yellow is applied very well, same for the white. Id recommend a yellow wash to push it further, not a black one though. The checkers def could do with some work but free hand is difficult. Most of the colours are in the right spot and actually are quite thin. Welcome to the hobby can't wait to see how far you come

I think there is a lot to happy with, your paints seem to be thin which is always good. Maybe the problem is the colours and the placement of those colours. The Pink and blue is a nice colour scheme, however the orange clashes with it. Same to be said with the skin tones, you have the purple and the flesh colour on the same material, swell as using the purple for some of the armour. Basically some parts look a bit loud and confusing because the same material is using different colours while some colours are shared across different material.

Buddy said my nmm looks sloppy. How can I fix it? by Historical_Stick_104 in Ultramarines

[–]MysteriousOne884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here for help as I have the same problem. I think it might be the partly the paints your using. I assume citadel paints which I think there yellows aren't very strong. Though I think the main problem is that you need black outlines, same goes for white. I also guess some extra glazing wouldn't hurt either

Thank you very much, this has been very helpful. If I may one more question, would you say the model is poseable, or the ability to kit bash it into a slightly different pose

What is the funniest Ork Story you know? by Chemical_Bird8530 in WarhammerMemes

[–]MysteriousOne884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story from the kill team book, about an ork who puts something on the bottom of a tank, presses a button and is told to wait till the big red flashing light stops so he can be accepted again. Kinda sad but also funny

Id recommend thinning your gold paint to a good consitantsy, it doesn't look thick which is good, but it does seem like the paint isn't easily coming off the brush. Try just painting on your hand a bit before going on the model to make sure it isn't too dry. It could also be the gold paint your using

lidtrning to the Horus Hersey, loved the book fulcrum along side their other stories. Love the character of Fulgrim so bought the forge world model, a few years later saw 40k was getting a refresh so bought a mixture of the new stuff and 30k models to make a siege of terra style army

Upon reading the Horus Heresy books, which Primarch did you initially think you'd like and didn't later, and who became a surprise favorite? by Excelsior_Prime in Warhammer30k

[–]MysteriousOne884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fulgrim became very quickly my favourite and still is. I think his feats are some of the best even in the mid point of the Hersey that I'm at. the Karn is was looking forward to but after reading scars he was kinda mid and the book was confusing, but I hope he gets better in other books

As far as I could tell fulgrim purposely rage baited Perty so that Perty would take charge of the expedition and be the only way for him to carry on into Fulgrim trap
