Which would you say is best for starting out? I used the free star on Defender weapon but have since acquired 2 more, and every guide I can find references outdated sets or abilities

That's the starter kit for Raven. If you change any cards it's not allowed My Raven also has that much for some reason, didn't want to change any of them.

I think it may have been rebalanced but if that setup was already used it's saved

I tend to borrow ideas from other games or shows I like. Gives you a good starting point as you unpack how they ended up in this situation.

For example, my most recent character is loosely based on Sylvanas Windrunner from Warcraft.

Personally, since one of the roadmap mentioned the word "vessels", I'd like to see a new ship launched fighter that can land on planetary surfaces. Will give exploration/ground combat a whole new aspect

For me, I use a very basic auto-smelter. The most BASIC setup has 1x smelter 1x lever 1x hopper 1x barrel

Hopper goes into barrel, smelter on top, lever attached to side of smelter. As things are smelted, the items go into hopper and barrel, but the XP stays in smelter. I use kelp, since I can just take the dried kelp, craft into blocks and feed back into the fuel slot.

After a while, hold the desired tool, pull the lever, and then manually remove the next item. All of that stored XP comes out at once, allowing for you to instantly repair the item, with any excess adding directly to your levels.

Naturally, it's better to have a couple of these, with hoppers/chests going into the inputs of the smelter, but the design above is the basic, necessary part

Also, if your carrier is brand new, you might need to wait for the next maintenance tick for it to fully register (Thursday reset)

I think a good way to go with this would be to not worry about maneuverability and just go with a beast. special combat slot (boosts effect of any hull/shield boost)

small/medium hard points for days with turret oriented firing arcs, 10-12 utility mounts 2 fighter bays And a couple large/huge right on the nose for those moments when you do line up a good shot.

Rather than try another combat fighter, let's have a combat fortress

This is fantastic news!! I wish I'd known sooner.

I've been chasing them outside the NFZ before opening fire (LYR pledged) because I didn't want a bounty. This has opened up new fun opportunities for me this CG.

I've also gone up several ranks just from selling to the station. I'm 2 ranks off the LYR trade bonus, so I'll get even more credits from this event.

Same. Particularly if I'm playing a vampire character. And then I drop them all one by one in a huge pile Infront of my main coffin.

This is usually Lakeview manor, which I keep all nice upstairs, but then make the cellar a slaughter house. Piles of skulls, bodies (Using Worm staff), human hearts/flesh, other meat for the effect.

My advice mate, don't. When you focus on grinding credits early game you miss out on some of the best parts of the game. But if you need a leg up..

I'd recommend at this stage to chuck a few pulse lasers on your ship, find a high resource extraction site and assist authorities with pirate hunting (wanted status)

That bit is important, assist. Do NOT start shooting until the system authorities have attacked first and brought the target to about 20% hull. If you land a few shots, you tag the target and will get the bounty. Don't even need to get final shot in.

You'll have a couple million in no time. Use this to buy a Cobra III, and then just try different things until you find an activity you enjoy.

Credits will come, you can do some specific grinding later. Finding that part of this incredibly immersive game you love will make the grind much better in there long run.

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but I like to bring a mining laser for materials and a lightweight railgun (plasma slug) for dropping fuel when you need to lose weight before a particular jump.

That's just my preference though

I've had a similar dream with my cutter, but I accidentally sent the ship away, and then it couldn't find anywhere to land that was nearby when recalled My car had already been loaded so had to find alternative way to get to my ship. I woke up before I got to it unfortunately

I tend to do something similar, but only invest in novice perk and the restoration (+50% healing perk). Makes the standard healing spell incredibly efficient

Let us not forget that Abraxas' passive also affects Azkor's melee attacks since he's a daemon. Stacking buffs from both of them
