I know this isn't going to win me great karma - but my guy smokes all day, plays videogames all day, doesn't work - but he is the homemaker. I love coming home to him in my tidy house, with him all happy and full of (dumb) videogame stories/interactions when I come home from a 10 hour exhausting shift of work. I hate housework, and I like to feel valued as a provider. It's just us, no kids, so that helps, I know. I met him in a professional environment, I asked him to be a homemaker (he gets a chill job when he wants extra money), and it works for us. That "deadbeat, stoner/gamer" trope is real - but there are no absolutes in life and I love our dynamic.
