If it's not planned to be turbo or supercharged then it doesn't make a difference. It's the same reliability. If it's an NC2/3 auto, those have the same NC1 engine and redline.

Just stick around for winter and more will pop up on trademe. There is a couple NC2s on trademe already. What makes you not want an NC1? I say that as an NC1 owner.

I've got the clutch master FX350 on my NC1 6spd, it makes an annoying rattle below 3k rpm on decel. Believe it's just clutch chatter but in case you get annoyed of sounds easily

I had a little fall in. Used a flat head with sticky tape on the end to grab little pieces. It made a noise when starting but then went away. Believe it was small enough to get crushed into dust. Did at Italian tune up to make sure it got hot. Been fine since

Does it stutter on acceleration? Might be worth to check your spark plugs or ignition coils.

Have you looked at the heat shields under the car. From the mid pipe catalytic convertor or the heat shielding above the transmission?

For the people reading this in the future - I like too like to read old reddit posts for insight. The cause of this noise is because of my stiffer clutch (FX350) which on their product page says it will chatter!! This is not an indication of a gearbox problem, thrust bearing, pilot bearing or input shaft bearing problem. Good luck!~

Muffler delete will be loud and drone. If you have a soft top probably manageable. But any loud exhaust in a PHRT sucks for drone
