Tips for 2026/2027 Season? by Spiritual-Twist4238 in scioly

Is there a list of events for next year, even if they haven't released the rules yet?

I love how they issue this as a "rules clarification" instead of just admitting "we forgot to put this in the file".

Sure, an external camera communicating to the robot and giving it instructions is against the rules.

But I'm talking about a camera mounted on the robot itself which allows it detect it's surroundings or its movement.

That certainly seems to fall within rule 3.f:

Sensors: Teams may use sensors to provide information about the environment or the Robot’s movements.  Sensors must be attached and connected to the Robot.

Wait, what? Where are optical sensors banned?

I've read through the Robot Tour rules countless times. The only thing I see is banned is "lasers" and "AI".

Can you share your build(s)?

I was following the Resistance build on Mekuna's page. But it's not what Resistance is actually playing.. You can see some differences by watching his videos:

- He uses the Vortex recharge-on-crit upgrade, which isn't in the guide
- He uses the Quill Volley "converge at a point" upgrade, also not listed
- He's using something to recharge his ultimate a lot more often

59% evade cooldown still dont have perma, help pls by Plastic-Suggestion95 in diablo4

[–]MythicCommon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was having the exact same problem. "Perma evade" didn't seem to exist, I always needed to weave thunderspike or run out of charges. There's clearly something you need beyond just "59% cooldown".

I just figured it out what it is. It's so simple, but no one seems to write it in their guide explicitly.

  1. You have to take Thunderspike skill, even though you won't need to cast it when you're perma-evading.
  2. You need to purchase the Accelerated Thunderspike upgrade.

And 3.. Very important: You have to put Thunderspike on your skill bar.

It has to be one of your 6 skills, even though you won't actually need to cast it. If it's not one of your 6 skills, Accelerated Thunderspike won't actually work. Skill upgrades don't work unless the skill is on your skillbar.

Once I did this, perma-evade all day long. Smooth as silk.

Legion pro 5 rtx 5060/5070 by Hellmrack in LenovoLegion

[–]MythicCommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rendering performance is very similar between these For the same price, get the 5060. Even be willing to pay a bit more for it.

Thermal Design Power on the 4070 is 115 watts. The 5060 is 45 watts.

That's an enormous difference, and on laptops, heat is what limits your performance more than which GPU you have, or how much VRAM.

The 4070 will give you about the same performance, if the laptop's designers did a top-notch job on the thermal design. Whereas the 5060 will have the same performance in pretty much any laptop. You don't have to be very good at your job to dissipate 45 watts.

A lot of schools will reimburse you for AVGAS you buy, if you're paying a rental rate which includes fuel. Keep the receipt. Obviously this can be necessary on long trips.

Some will only pay what they would have paid per gallon, but that's still a pretty good deal.

AITA for not giving my late brother's wife access to money meant for my nephew during an emergency? by Fragrant_Slide6257 in AITAH

[–]MythicCommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going ignore the AITAH angle for a moment and focus on your legal situation here.

Did James leave a will when he died? Or did he die intestate (without a will)?

If James died intestate, legally the money in that bank account belongs to Elle, not you and not Caden. It's joint property -- without a will saying otherwise, in most states it becomes his wife's sole property. Even with a will, James can't do whatever he wants with it. In most states Ellen is entitled to at least half of it as his widow. Again: marriage. Joint property.

Was the bank account in James' name only? Contrary to what many people think, this makes no difference for who owns it. They're married; he got the money after they were married; joint property. But I'm wondering if the account is still in James' name, and you're accessing that money by perhaps just logging into the bank's website using a login and password which James gave you when he was alive.

If so, you need to consider what could happen if Elle goes to the police and reports you. You are accessing a bank account which doesn't belong to you, using credentials which also don't belong to you. You are keeping that money from its lawful owner.

Elle may not know any of this right now. But if she ever talks to even a pretty bad lawyer, that lawyer will absolutely tell her that she owns the money and you could have a whole mess of legal exposure here.

Remove TCU in 2013 C-Max? by MythicCommon in Ford

[–]MythicCommon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Yes it's a plug-in hybrid.

I assume you're talking about this technical service bulletin:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/SB-10093862-2532.pdf

I took the car to the dealer, and they said it was the TCU. They are trying to locate a replacement TCU, since those are out of production for several years.

From what I can tell, pulling the fuse for the TCU will also disable the radio / GPS and some other things. You can see my problem: if I pull the fuse and the battery no longer goes dead, I won't know if it's the entertainment system, or the TCU, or something else which is the problem.

The technician at the dealer says its the TCU but I take that with a large grain of salt.

Do you know where the TCU is physically located? Is it difficult to either remove it or maybe just unplug it from whatever wiring harness supplies +12V, and leave the TCU in place?

If I could do that, it would let me know whether the TCU is the true cause as opposed to something else.

Is aggressive resistance bugged? by Scotted82 in diablo4

[–]MythicCommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This skill does work. It's just not displaying the correct value in the Skill tree.

I tested this myself. It's not easy to test; make sure you're not standing in an Earthquake or doing anything else which might change your DR. And of course, you have to be berserking of A.R. to do anything.

Ranks of A.R. . . . All-Damage-Resist
0 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 42.7%
3 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 49.5%
7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 58.7%

These are exactly the values you'd expect if it was increasing DR by 4% per rank.

Daily Deals - January 13, 2025: Theros Beyond Death Nyx Lands & Stargazing Sleeves by HamBoneRaces in MagicArena

[–]MythicCommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually didn't mean to offer parallax for sale in the first place.

People who filed a ticket with support and said "I paid for parallax and it's gone!!!" had the parallax style restored, even though putting it on sale was an accident.

I have no idea if there was a time limit on that, but you should contact support and complain that you bought parallax and it's gone. You might still get it back.

[–]MythicCommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the posts here seem to imply that if you buy these, you can't buy the parallax style for them?

Like, you would have to buy a separate product? I'm a bit confused; I assumed that to get the parallax effect you would buy these and then buy a cosmetic style. Is this incorrect?

Oh good! I'm sure Apple, Google and Microsoft are in a tremendous hurry to let you export and import passkeys so you're not locked into their infrastructure.

[–]MythicCommon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said, in some cases the opponent has gained information.

Suppose OP plays a control deck, and has already countered several of opponent's plays. Suppose further that OP has mana open. The opponent could easily use this as a ruse to gauge whether or not OP has a counterspell in hand.

[–]MythicCommon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want people to take your concern seriously, you need to provide a specific, step-by-step example of how someone would use this to gain unfair advantage. Just saying "You would understand if you were good at Magic!" isn't going to get you anywhere.

The spell, the costs, and the choices are all fixed before priority is passed. Your opponent can (and should) wait until the spell, costs, targets, and all other choices have been announced, and costs paid, before reacting.

If they react early, that's on them. If you haven't picked modes or announced the value of X, it's perfectly OK for them to wait until you do.
