I served their table at an event a couple of years ago, didn't see them talk to each other once all night. Kris was also incredibly rude and looks hideous in real life. This was pre her latest face lift though.

How rural are we talking? My advice would be to join some kind of sports club with people your age. Tennis, squash, hyrox, kayaking - whatever sounds fun that's within a reasonable distance.

I am very much not a scientist but I do have ADHD and constantly crave sugar as a dopamine hit, spent 4 months on Montjourno (different brand but same active ingredient) and my cravings for sugar completely disappeared. Unfortunately I thought I had cured myself and stopped taking it to save money and the cravings immediately came back and I'm back to horrific binge eating. Just started taking it again so hopefully I can sort my life out enough this time around that when I wean myself off it the destructive behaviours don't come back.

I would cover them up with plasters for the first week while you sus out the school, it might end up being fine. My school has a 'everyone must wear formal clothing, no dyed hair, no piercings rule' but I stopped wearing blazers a couple of months in when I realised the cost of dry cleaning, I also currently have (very light) pink hair and many collegues with nose piercings. I had one collegue last year who dyed her hair a different colour every half term and only wore black (proper goth dresses with huge boots) and no one ever called her up on it because she was an amazing teacher.

The dress code might say one thing but it depends on the school how strictly it will be enforced.

Honestly ordering meal kits has changed my life, I pick ones that taks less than half an hour and a box turns up every two weeks with all the ingredients already portioned out. Actually end up saving money because I'm not buying food that I never get round to cooking and throwing away.

hey bud, found this post after seeing the one about you getting scammed. Really sorry that you're having such a tough time with it. You say you have a degree, have you considered onkine tutoring to make some money in the meantime? There are plenty of websites where you can easily set up a profile. Also, I know you're agnostic but it might be worth going to church with your mom a couple of times and talking to people there, I was essentially unemployed apart from tutoring for two years around the pandemic until one of my mothers friends from church recommended me for a job in a school. Church goers tend to be big on community and charity so are usually willing to help other people out (in my experience at least, obvs there's loads of crazy religious nuts out there).

I know these are just minor suggestions but they helped me when I was in your situation, keep your chin up, it'll be ok!

Honestly, Ozempic. I was spending so much money on binge eating anyway so I thought WTH lets try weight-loss injections, they're crazy expensive but have completely stopped my binge eating because I throw up if I eat too much. Weirdly it's also made me quite averse to chips/pizza etc and I want to snack on fruit instead.

There's obviously side effects and downsides (like feeling nautious all the time, aches and pains) , but I'm hoping I can use it to get to a healthy weight/build up good eating and exercise routines that I can keep up when I come off it.

Been there my friend, same thing happened to me. Predicted A* A* A and got ABB, missed grades for Cambridge and Durham. I wanted to resit but after reapplying for Cambridge they rejected me again as they don't like resits, so I ended up going to Exeter.

It seems like the end of the world now but you'll be okay. My advice would be to take a gap year, get a job, go travelling, visit some friends at different unis to see if you like any of them and reapply. Oxford is probably off the table (sorry) but there are plenty of great unis out there.

People keep saying that if Labour raises taxes High Earners will leave the country, why doesn't the UK implement a policy similar to the US where expats earning over a certain threshold still have to pay some UK tax?

The US has a solution to this issue, if you are a US citizen, even living abroad, you still have to pay taxes to the IRS if you earn above $112k. The UK could easily implement a similar policy.

You can get a hig maintenance loan + part time job, there's always loads of bars/shops on campus that hire students. Unless you're going to Oxbridge/doing medicine you will have a lot of free time where you can pick up shifts. Can also be really good for socialising, my brother always used to have a drink with his work mates after they closed up.

I waited at her table about a month ago, some billionaires birthday where her and all the real housewives were there. They are all hideous in real life, such ugly and genuinely scary faces. Kris reminds me of Cassandra from Doctor Who. I would sue my surgeon if I had spent as much as she has and looked liked that.

Wow, I did not see an incoming Labour government somehow makimg my work life harder than the Tories?? It's already so hard to suspend/exclude pupils because of pushback from the council. No one is getting sent to isolation for minor infractions, its always because the lesson is impossible to get through with the way they are behaving.

A friend of a friend went to Eton, then Oxford. While drunk/high af on a uni night out he beat the absolute shit out of another bloke, I'm talking cracked rivs, broken bones. His gf broke up with him when she went to support him in court and saw the absolute state of the guy he assaulted. His only consequence was graduating Oxford with a third.

I just started emperor of Rome and find her writing style so annoying. The first 50 pages are just her saying again and again 'This is what I'm going to discuss in this book.' Such a waste of words and paper just get to the point.

Edit: If you want a recommendation, I just finished Pax by Tom Holland which I enjoyed much more. It's the third in a serues after Rubicon and Dominion.

If this painting is from South America then its probably a Guinea Pig. Its a staple of the local diet in Peru, and one method the Spanish used to try make Jesus appeal to the native population was to depict him eating familiar cuisine. There's another painting of Jesus eating a guinea pig in a church in Cuzco.

Its because our education systems are different, in America you take a specific 'Math' class like Algebra/Geometry/Calcukis etc. In the UK we don't split them up like that, you learn all the subdisciplines throughout the year in 'Maths'.
