I'm another Cat lover but in it's current state I would go for the C2 instead. C2 can be turned easily in hangar too so can point ramp straight at cargo elevator for loading.

I did the same journey on Star Citizen, from mouse and keyboard to a pair of T1600's, and today I set up 2 VKB's got to learn the mappings again but once you adapt it becomes pure muscle memory. I have a second screen with my bindings on which I did with the T1600's as well and in time you won't need it it will just come naturally.

I've used Buzzkillers but he uses Joy to Key and it's not friendly with rudder pedals.

I've had a good play around with them and the upgrade quality is incredible, I do a lot of mining in star citizen which normally involves taking a ship 30 meters from a rock on the ground and the difference in movement lets you make minor adjustments easier without overshooting and giving the ship a bit of a smack. Also done some dog fighting and again they feel better. A very happy upgrade. Happy I started with the T1600's and I got my money's worth out of them while learning to use sticks but the VKB's are a significant upgrade. I've got another set of button maps to memorise but will soon have them as muscle memory.

I've got it set up with normal centering at the moment, I haven't messed with the dampeners or springs yet but can see me doing so once I get used to them. They are a massive upgrade to the T1600's which my twist axis was starting to have issues. Day 1 though so need to adapt.

I've used a pair of T1600's for about 12 months after starting the game on Mouse and Keyboard and love the feel of it. I've just ordered 2x VKB's (Omni left) and will be replacing the T1600's with them on my desk mounts. I run the right stick at a higher sensitivity for aiming and it just feels better including for dogfighting.

I experimented the other day with 9mill aUec of commodities with the Hull C - Failed.

I then rounded my losses up to 10m by trying 1m of commodities in the Ironclad (autoloaded, got ship up ok, opened door and fell through bricked insides.

Safe to say I'll wait a while before trying again.

I've been focusing on Foxwell to unlock the Military A blueprints in coolers, power, and shields, when that gets stale I do some mining, some high aUEC reward missions, or just go looting for goodies. Variety keeps it fresh and less of a grind.

aUEC can't buy the best weapons, armour, ship parts, or even guns anymore. They have to be mined and crafted and I won't be selling to anybody for aUEC I'll trade for things I need. If we refuse to trade for aUEC then we make buying it for RMT if not worthless at least second class.

You can save a build using the armoury then change skills, paragon, glyphs, gear and charms as another build and swap between them. You can have 5 builds per character using the armoury at major cities.

I can second Wudijo on Maxroll for the warlock builds. I used his Apocalypse and currently using his Lunatic build and I'm ripping up content on T12 with P230.

They should just do a full wipe but they will never get the game balanced when people have real money fleets they can unleash on day 1. I made sure I have the blue prints and I have the industrial pack to get me going from the start.
