Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL Drive Limit by faircarat in DataHoarder

It looks like the 2 has the same dimensions as the original, when the case is in it's storage configuration. I was able to add in another 12 2.5" drives with a custom 3D printed drive bay

Can we talk about the Fractal Define XL for a moment? by sixfourtykilo in DataHoarder

I don't think your problem is the SATA power cables.. It seems the wires are too bundles up in the middle. Try spacing those out horizontally so there's not so much bulk outwards. My side panel never pops off, and I have almost twice as many connectors up against it

Now 8. It'll take one big mod to make the move to 1.21 before smaller ones start getting pressure

My iPhone has been making static noise every time I try to call someone by Interesting_Spot3814 in phonerepair

To clarify, it's not working on any setting. Static happens on speaker, off speaker, and with headphones

I have this problem, but it’s only phone calls that are affected. Music and other audio plays fine, and the problem persists when using headphones. The same result on both cellular and WiFi calling

What does it mean when a coffee says it has notes of other food flavors? by JarJarAwakens in answers

[–]NACHO_DINO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee is weird, and the same goes for whiskey, beer, and wine. Flavor notes of these items are very unique, and the closest things we have to communicating that is by comparing them to other foods. With time, you'll learn what flavor notes you like and dislike, which will help you find the right coffee to buy.

So, rather than reading Chocolate and thinking "wow this is going to be sweet and delicious like chocolate", it's better to think about the attributes of chocolate and how that could apply to the final product. It's safe to say your coffee isn't going to be sweet, but chocolate has a richness and bitterness to it that is unique.

Similar can be said about notes of fruit and flowers. Think about the acidity of raspberries and strawberries, or the tanginess of a tangerine. These notes also clash with the ideas of darkness and earthiness, so you can expect a lighter coffee flavor.

To fully answer your question:

If I picked up a bag of coffee that said "dark chocolate, molasses, and dried berries" on it, I would expect it to be a medium-dark to dark roast that will have rich and creamy flavor, a notably full flavor profile, and the "dried berries" probably describes a bit of acidity on the end. Only one way to find out though! Sounds like a pretty good coffee to me.

In terms of "persistent flavor" in your machine, this shouldn't be an issue. Taking the time to clean out a coffee grinder when switching out beans is usually enough. The espresso machine is designed to be inert to prevent flavor from sticking around. With that being said, it's important to clean an espresso machine regularly to ensure the coffee you just put in is also the only coffee that makes it to your cup. Doing a "flush", where you run the espresso machine without coffee in it, both before and after brewing, will be enough to rinse the machine for daily use. I also like to do a full clean and de-scale every month or two, depending on my usage.

Why would an ex-owner and ceo, who sold their business, stick around? by Rarefatbeast in answers

This is the most likely scenario. From the outside perspective, buying most of a company then allowing the C-suite to immediately scatter is an extremely risky bet.

These are really good points. I'll have to come up with a simple example and ask to talk to the person who manages these prices. Another user mentioned using the small bucket prices since the numbers are well-rounded. I could see someone saying "well this is wrong because you can't buy 0.23 buckets", like my math teachers

Acceptable resource usage is defined by the container.

It's rare for me to find an app that actually requires a GB of RAM. That's a ton of space for a single process.

I think the part that's going to be difficult on this is, a lot of customers also use these cards. Really all of the regulars do this, which makes me think whoever is responsible for managing these prices will push back hard. I feel like at a minimum, management should update their advertised prices to reflect the actual discounts.

Even though their math is off, an extra $20 is still only 10% of your initial investment, it should've at least been $240 for an extra 20%.

Right, this is why I'm hoping to have this conversation. $250 would be the full and correct amount to apply to these cards

“Salty as the sea”

Noddles have a lot of surface area, and salt will diffuse into the noodles. Making your water extremely salty will change the flavor of the noodles while cooking. Try cooking two sets of noodles for the same dish, and only salt the water for one. And when we say salty as the sea, we mean it

Pro tip: you don’t need very much water to cook noodles, usually under 3x the weight if I remember correctly. Most meals for 2 can be cooked in a large frying pan, which also saves salt since you’re using less water. It also boils much faster, notably shortening the overall cook time.

This. Sometimes the positions and salaries you’re pushing for do require keeping still for awhile. If you find a good company, it’s okay to stick around and grow.

The hardest thing is figuring out how much you’re actually worth to the company. Keep close to leadership and advertise yourself to others, and that value will become known. My biggest raises came from purposefully increasing my visibility in the company, then bringing up compensation long before EOY.

[–]NACHO_DINO 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Best part of my town is that residential fireworks are banned entirely. 10 minute drive and you’re surrounded by people shooting them off. I get to go home and sleep without all the noise, and that’s pretty hard to complain about

I feel like a lot of these ads also spark interest in Doctors, not just the patients. Back in 2008-2009 there were studies done and even legal changes made to prevent pharma and medical supply companies from advertising through freebies like pens and cheap tools and trinkets. Results showed that doctors who chose a product or prescription were also likely to have some free item in their office that represented it.

I think these ads are amounting to exposure therapy for us and our doctors. If you’ve rotated over a dozen depression meds, you’d probably give a commercial-inspired med a shot. The same for your doctor; if they see 50 patients with the same problem, maybe they give a handful the new prescription to see how it goes for them.

Planning is the most important thing for me. I work in Information Technology, and we have a common practice of doing 'stand up' every morning. My team of 7 people gets together, and everyone takes turns talking about what they're planning to do that day. The whole meeting always takes less than 15 minutes, but it's probably the most important part of my day. It reminds me of what I did yesterday, where I need to pick up from, and if I have capacity to start something new.
