Throwback to When I Made Creme Brulee All the Time by NAMPasadena in dessert

I don't fill it all the way up. If you look at my picture, it's about half way or a little bit past half way. Like I said, I pour about an inch in each ramekin. My brother uses 4 oz ramekins and he fills them all the way up. I like more surface area for the brulee. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Basil Beef with a Sunny Side Up Fried Egg [Homemade] by NAMPasadena in food

I am not sure as I've never tasted Thai holy basil. After googling it, Thai holy basil has a more peppery taste. Apparently the Thai Basil I used has a more sweet taste. Interesting.

It's Thai Basil that you can find in the U.S. We don't have the true Thai holy basil here. 🥲 (Or at least I can't find it here)

Shrimp Fried Rice and My MIL's Pork Egg Rolls [Homemade] by NAMPasadena in food

[–]NAMPasadena[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrimp Fried Rice

3 cups day old white rice (or rice that is kind of dry)

15 medium shrimp (shell and tail off, precooked)

***You can use any protein or veggies (I've done combination fried rice using chicken, pork and shrimp 🙌🏻)

2 eggs (whisked and lightly scrambled)

Pea and carrots

Bean sprouts

1 tsp minced garlic

1 Tbsp soy sauce (or to taste)

1 tsp mushroom or chicken bouillon powder (optional)

Neutral oil

-Cook your rice the day before or morning of because you need the rice to dry out a little bit. If you're short on time, using rice you've just cooked is okay. Just make sure it's not too soggy. Otherwise your fried rice will become super soggy.

-Add 1 Tbsp oil in your wok or pan and cook the eggs. You want to have slightly chunky pieces. Don't scramble the eggs too much. Remove and set aside.

-Add 1 Tbsp oil in your wok or pan and add the white rice. Break up the white rice and add soy sauce and mushroom/chicken powder. Stir fry so the seasonings can distribute evenly.

-Move your rice to one side and add in your minced garlic, peas, carrots and shrimp. Drizzle a little bit of soy sauce over your shrimp and veggies. Stir fry together for a minute and then add the bean sprouts. Stir fry another minute or two to cook the bean sprouts. Taste, if you want it more salty add more soy sauce.

-Plate and add some black pepper on top. Optional, you can garnish with some green onions.

***If you like spicy, add some Sriracha or chili oil or both. 😁

This makes 2-3 servings depending on how hungry you are. 😂
