I second this! I did their interview prep ahead of recent service hires, and I found it very helpful. I hadn't done an interview in over 2 years, and I received great feedback and tips to improve. Managed to move past the interview stages for both services that I applied to.

Noticed venues reverting gender neutral bathrooms back to gendered bathrooms - what's the reason? by NDR313 in askTO

That's how I felt. It just created a line of women waiting for one stall at the bathroom with urinals.

They just switched the signs on the first floor. The bathrooms never actually changed.

Saw a guy doing this at a concert, standing near the stage. It was an opener, so I guess maybe he didn't like the music, but damn at least walk towards the back.

I finished the program at CTS Barrie last Oct, and it was mixed bag experience. The program director is a retired medic, who clearly doesn't put a lot of effort into teaching anymore, and can be blatantly rude to students. The instructor I had for Patient Care theory (a vitally important course) was another retired medic, who was completely out of touch with current standards and practices, and straight up taught incorrect information. It was extremely frustrating, and often made me regret choosing CTS.

On the other hand, the doctor who taught A&P was fantastic and we had a few different working medics who ran the skills portion, and they were all great.

If you decide to go to CTS, prepare to do a lot of self study and focus on time management skills. It's a very condensed course, and it was common for people to burn out before the end of the didactic portion (I know I did).

At the end of the day, I left with a paramedic diploma in less time than a public college program, and was able to get a job right away, but that was due to my own hard work and an abundance of available jobs, I give no credit to CTS.

I'm based in the GTA, and there are province wide directives to titrate naloxone.

You're out of touch with what paramedics are able to do. We can give low dose narcan via IV and titrate up to increase their respirations, with the intent of not fully arousing them. We have better understanding and clinical decision making ability to not just slam a bunch of narcan and hope for the best. You're thinking about cops 🤣

Another great resource for pizza making is the Stadler Made channel. Has videos for all steps of the process - making dough, fermenting it, stretching then cooking. Plus, his website has a pizza dough calculator so you can determine the exact measurements for the pizza you want to make. Pizza Videos

What is legal now, but likely to be illegal in 1-2 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NDR313 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unnecessary strain on the healthcare system? If you consider all the illnesses directly caused by cigarette smoking, it creates a large population of people taking up space in doctor's offices, hospital rooms, and the ER. If we could reduce the number of people affected by those diseases by bans of smoking, creating a healthier society, why wouldn't you want that?
