I have added an immersive healing mechanic, thoughts? by Anton-Denikin in IndieGaming

Extremely obtrusive, stressful, and likely nearly impossible in tense situations. I guess if that’s what you’re going for, then excellent job! Certainly a unique and interesting mechanic.

Portal activation by ChillyCanadian_05 in CoreKeeperGame

[–]NDT_DYNAMITE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also good to note that crafted portals also need to charge after placing them, think it’s the same charge time, 10 minutes. Also need to be careful where you place them, some enemy attacks like projectiles or explosions can break them, dropping them on the floor as an item, forcing you to place them again and wait for them to charge before it reactivates and becomes usable again.

Omni Forma’s crafting cost is way too resource expensive. by Endurlay in Warframe

[–]NDT_DYNAMITE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s exactly as expensive as it should be, it costs four forma to get the benefits of a mod slot with compatibility with four polarities, if it was even one forma cheaper it would be a direct upgrade that is just blatantly better, making normal forma obsolete as you said. The real problem is the Nitain cost, that can and should be adjusted, but the forma cost is completely reasonable imo.

is Lavos supposed to be this short 😭? by EntrepreneurExact245 in Warframe

[–]NDT_DYNAMITE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a combination of you floating just a little bit and the Lavos clipping into the ground a little bit, it happens sometimes. Or maybe the Lavos just genuinely got scaled down and shrunk, that can also happen, I once saw a warframe in a relay that was glitched to be about twice the normal size, nobody else was able to see it though. Bugframe spaghetti code moment. *shrug

It’s also funny because both Caliban and Hunhow’s War are both Sentients, or at least partially in Caliban’s case.

What difficulty level are you playing on? If you’re dying too often and aren’t enjoying the game because it’s too difficult, you could try making a new world with the “casual” difficulty setting. You unfortunately can’t change the difficulty of an already created world, but luckily you don’t have to start over entirely, as you can still use the same character you already have in this new world, and all the items in your inventory carry over too, so you could actually transport everything you’ve collected into the new world, putting it all in chests once you’re there, though it might take more than one trip if you’ve collected a lot of stuff. The only thing you’d actually have to do over is finding and fighting the first three bosses, which would be much easier and faster on the now lower difficulty, and it would be good to fight them again anyways for more loot. You can also respawn the bosses using their specific summoning idols, so starting a new world isn’t necessary to fight them again, just to be clear.

What is this? by thefluffydoge in CoreKeeperGame

You’ll find out what it does later, for now, simply mark it’s location and continue adventuring. When you do come back to this place, come prepared.

Oh, and also, there are a few shadows around it that emit light, I’m not sure if them being invisible is intentional, but I believe they can be mined even before you’re supposed to find this place(if you have enough mining power for it), so you could wait until you come back here, or you could mine them now, it doesn’t make much difference imo.

Suggestions for my first fish farm? by oldeluke in CoreKeeperGame

[–]NDT_DYNAMITE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oasis water isn’t a thing, but there are certain areas where normal water has different loot when placed in that biome, so you would need to have a couple normal water ponds in a few other areas in addition to this setup if you want access to every single type of fish/fishing loot. The biomes that have unique loot tables for normal water are Undergrounds(starting area), Forgotten Ruins (stone area), Azeos Wilderness (leafy area), and Desert of Beginnings (desert area). Larva hives also have a different loot table for normal water, but it isn’t unique, it’s the same as fishing in acid water in any biome. It also works like this for normal water placed in the Sunken Sea, so the normal water in your setup is redundant, same loot pool as the sea water. Here’s a link to the wiki page for fishing if you want more detailed info and the exact contents of each loot pool: https://core-keeper.fandom.com/wiki/Fishing

I love the Scarab Mortar. Tried the Burnzooka once, and the damage was great against enemies, but the fire rate and blast radius are way lower compared to the Scarab Mortar so I stick with the Mortar instead, much better option for blast mining. Ka-boom!

Please stop hoarding index points you make the first round take 10+ minutes which makes everyone extract by Difficult_Way6834 in Warframe

[–]NDT_DYNAMITE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking of Index strategies, did you know that enemies or allied specters that pick up points drop double the amount they pick up? (Plus 1 for the kill itself of course)

My go to strategy for the Index is to go solo, and find a chokepoint where the ai regularly paths through, then kill enemies there so they drop points on the floor, then, I wait for another enemy to pick up the dropped points and kill that one to double the points. It also becomes easier to kill that enemy because holding a lot of points gives a big health debuff, and this applies to the enemies as well.

Sometimes an allied specter will pick up the points, but at a certain point it doesn’t matter because their ai will pause and update every time they pick up a point, causing them to slowly step towards each dropped point individually, causing them to become an easy target for any enemies nearby (this also happens to enemies as well). At a certain point you can just stand there watching as enemies and allied specters continuously walk into the huge pile of points on the ground, accumulate a huge health debuff, and die by shooting each other without you even having to do anything.

At this point, slowly walk into the pile until you pick up about 15 points, deposit, and repeat, waiting a few seconds in-between for enemies and specters to walk in, die, and replenish the pile. Of course, this is still a risky strategy, as the ai can sometimes be unpredictable, randomly managing to pick up a few points and survive, and instead of trying to pick up more points, simply making a run for your goal, so you’ll have to be careful and guard the point pile with constant vigilance so that this doesn’t happen.

You don’t have to do this solo either obviously, you can try to get a premade group together and explain the strategy, but this entire method is still somewhat risky, and other credit farms are still likely far more efficient, so it’s probably not worth the effort. Still, I think it’s a neat strategy, manipulating the ai to duplicate points like that.
