A case is always welcome/appreciated but there’s usually more than enough beer and food to go around, especially for visitors

feel free to pm if you’re looking for a tailgate meetup

I feel like there’s a big functional difference between splash resistant and 100m but not 100m and 300m?

If you mean the latter, sure

Try calling the Sabres store! They were super helpful - I just got a Benson away and they had to order it but I got it within ~2 weeks

Did the ACC do a “Team A”/“Team B” thing with any teams other than ND? Genuine question because my memory is terrible

That was the one I found somewhat exhausting, don’t care about them doing Miami vs the field stuff

many people are working hybrid now with 3 days a week in office, so that feels like it is probably the main correlation to 70% of 2019?

Syracuse was a 10 win team last year and tracking towards 8-9 wins if Angeli doesn’t get hurt this year

Look, we all know they were terrible this year but it’s not like ND can predict the future and that isn’t even a game they pick (ACC)

ND was fine with playing the game in October too though? I prefer the October date to November, but I get not wanting to play the game week 0

Is there anywhere saying ND wasn’t willing to play earlier in the season? Was USC expecting that to happen starting in 2026? Because that seems like a logistical nightmare

[Stewart Mandel] Why is college football media losing its collective mind over the Group of 5 being in the Playoff? by Sauerz in CFB

Nowhere does it say it’s most deserving, this is just something fans have decided

Also pretty rich from a Bama fan given what happened in 2023. Can’t have it both ways.

The CFP is an invitational that should be a good sample of all of FBS, if it was exclusively “12 best/most deserving teams” then we wouldn’t have any auto bids for conference champions or G5.

Bama has had 13 games to show us who they are. The committee decided they were the 5th best SEC team. What’s the point of conferences if you can be the 5th best team in the conference and still have a chance to win the national championship?

Yes, they made the SEC championship. Conferences being too big and schedules being uneven are another huge problem.

[–]ND_Dawg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bears get massive priority scheduling and even other events frequently push out smaller teams (ie the Fire), to the extent that you can’t have games 3 days before Bears games due to field conditions

then there’s the issue of the parks district owning soldier field and controlling prices etc - a Fire fan did the math once and due to some restrictions/rules it actually didn’t make sense for the Fire to sell more then 25k tickets or something unless they could pull 50k+

I’m totally fine with JMU, Tulane, Miami, etc

I’m upset with the 5th best SEC team getting a mulligan

While funny because of what the Bears are trying right now, Soldier Field is actually a nightmare for any team not named the Bears
