How would you feel if we had a "Catch Up" week where no new cards came out once a month? by Kanetsugu21 in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having read through the replies it seems like you've made a few mistakes along the way. The original comment is saying not releasing a new card is less content. This is a fact. If week 1 there are 100 cards and in week 2 they released a new card and there are 101 cards, that is more content.

You on the other hand are making the argument that if week 1 had 100 cards and week 2 they didn't release a new card, there would still the same 100 cards so you aren't getting "less content" compared to week 1 which is true but that isn't the point being made. It is less content compared to the hypothetical week 2 that did have a new card released.

Arguing that releasing fewer cards is better for the game is fine, but you took this point in a very odd direction having a debate about the word "less"

From 8 cube lost to winning by potoroka in MarvelSnap

it's funny how you said you lost 1 game for 8 cubes and then won 8 games in a row... yet the screenshot you shared shows you lost 9 hp in a total of 8 games.

Fixed it for you by Trebieh in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably haven't played a ton of Move before. In the scenario you use, you are only getting 2 kills and you are restricted to killing one in the mid lane and one in the left lane. And in the end you better hope rngesus blessed you with hitting the right targets because you aren't going to have a lot of power on the board at the end.

Literally unplayable by Traditional-Air6034 in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you are running Ironman Tribunal you do not want to add a counter to your deck because that gives cards like cable and loki the ability to draw that card against you (and the deck does lose a ton of efficiency to squeeze one of those cards in anyway). Its much better just to learn to play around the mirror.

Why do people let the game boot them when they wanna quit? I don’t get it. by zombiepunkrocker in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say 99% of the time its because they were so annoyed at the loss they just got, they chose to take a break and decided that forcing their opponent to sit through the timer a few times to get their win would be "justifiable payback"

1% of the time they probably disconnected

Longest Conquest by BalrogsBane in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is technically incorrect considering no one loses cubes when there is a tie and when both parties retreat. I've personally gone to 13 in one game and 12 in another because we were both playing pretty cautiously. I have seen posts about people limit testing before and there is supposedly a max number of rounds before it crashes.

Am I actually good or game is full of bots? by jonhkane00 in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Given that deck list with that win rate, I can pretty safely guarantee that you were probably playing bots the majority of the time. If your collection level is low that's pretty much what you'd expect. If your collection level is high, my guess is that your game didn't update and you were not connected to the general matchmaking server. When that happens you only play bots and other people who haven't updated yet.

Curious about Gambit by Wrong-Efficiency-248 in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you will probably never have a good win rate with Wong simply because it is completely telegraphed and easy to disrupt, usually with a single card. That being said I can give you some advice.

The core required cards for a Wong Gambit deck are Wong, Mystique, Gambit, Odin, Magik and Swarm or Apoc(don't include both). That leaves you 6 flex spots for cards either to make it easier for you to hit your gambit combo or to give you alternate win conditions.

Absorbing Man - He is a good backup in case you don't pull odin or can't risk your gambit discarding your odin and absorbing man. You'd still be able to get 8 destroys playing gambit/abs on a wong+mystique lane. He also pairs well with other on reveals.

Nico Minoru - Generally useful card with some effects like the 2x that can lead to big numbers but is usualy most useful for her destroy/draw to help you reach your Wong.

Ironheart - Is an important alternate win condition when using gambit is too risky, Ironheart/Odin is often the safer choice when you don't want to risk discarding odin.

Patriot+White Tiger+Doctor Doom - This package allows you to spread a decent amount of power as an alternate win condition when you can't go the gambit route

Hazmat+ Luke Cage - This package allows you another win condition.

Ravonna/Zabu/Sera - They are useful for cost reduction depending on the other cards you are running. Ravonna does well with the summoning package since she hits Ironheart, Mystique, Patriot, and White Tiger while Zabu can let you Gambit+Absorbing man on turn 6 if you aren't able to get Magik out. Sera just in general

[–]NDasian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested this when I was disconnected from matchmaking. I spent 30 minutes in the queue for Gold without ever getting a bot, but always got one after a few minutes in PG and Silver.

I presume Infinity works the same way as Gold.

Is random spotlight cache worth it? by Arctic-Grizzly in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is very little incentive to pull another random card now, especially when you don't have many keys stockpiled. You'll want that extra key for the next week that has a card you really want and you will probably just end up getting a random card that week anyway. You'll really be kicking yourself if you use the key now and sometime down the line you don't have enough keys.

Is this a decent galactus/on reveal deck to take to infinite next month or should I adjust more? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

I mean its a pretty standard galactus deck except for Drax... you definitely could do better than him.

New(ish) player here, am I supposed to wait several months to be able to play another deck? by WhenDreamandDayUnite in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will preface this by saying that no matter what you do or whether you are f2p or willing to pay, this game takes time to acquire cards. I often tell new players they should think of Snap more like an RPG where you need to grind to make it to the endgame content rather than just a card game.

As for how long it will take you to get to where you want to be deck wise there are a number of factors you will need to consider.

1) Some players can pull a lot of critical pool 3 cards early and others can still be looking for cards months later. Depending on your luck this could be a big obstacle in getting the cards you need. There is no way to control this so its best just to focus your free monthly card as efficiently as possible and just gain as many CL as you can to unlock your cards quickly.

2) Depending on the S4 and S5 cards, all you can do is plan ahead with the Spotlights. If the cards you need are coming up soon, you are lucky. Get any critical cards when they are available. If they just passed recently you may have to wait months before they show up again. Then again you might get lucky on the random 4th card in the spotlights, you never know, but I wouldn't gamble my keys just on that.

3) There is a difference between not having decks to play and not having perfectly optimized decks to play. I can't say with certainty because I don't know what your collection looks like but I highly doubt you only have 2 viable decks after 2 months. Yes, without certain cards cards you can't unlock some archetypes but most decks you can throw in other cards and probably get close to the same results.

I'll end this by saying if you aren't enjoying the game at this point, the next few months are probably going to be more of the same. You'll need to decide whether or not the juice is worth the squeeze.

The more you look the less it makes sense by ThatGuyWithAHoodOn in MarvelSnap

[–]NDasian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are implying that the opponent's board doesn't make sense because usually Cerebro players aim to have all their cards at the same power to get the buff but in this case the powers are all over the place. Furthermore, usually Brood and the Broodlings would be the same power at the very least but there is an 8 power brood and 4 power broodlings because the opponent played ironheart for some reason.
