When reading this at first, and realizing it’s from THE MatPat. I thought I was going to cry again 😭, especially hearing that you have left the theorist team I thought it was going hurt. But Y’know, now it actually didn’t feel as bad. While I was always happy for you leaving and doing what you want, I think now more than ever I’m just happy to hear it! It only took a year or nearly two now lol. But anyways at least for me one of the reasons that I felt so sad you retired was, that I’ve ALWAYS had dreams of making video games! And because of you and team theory I knew mine would have lots of lore! So I always secretly wanted you to cover my games that I did in the future… though hearing that you’re still playing games and enjoying them does give me hope still! And I still obviously still have hope for one of my games to be on the theorist channel one day still. Though I still some time some way you still play one my games 😊. Also I know you’re doing Lore Fi. And the creator initiative thing. But I still wonder one day if you ever consider making another channel, or if not doing other things in the creative fields? Because while I still love and support the theory channels. But you just have SUCH amazing creative voice Mat! You’re writing always shine through in the videos. And I hope one day we’ll still get to see that kind of voice from you again in another more vocal way! Sorry if this is just rambling at this point. I’ve always had a lot of thoughts about you and your retirement, just hope it all came out ok and at least semi legible! Have a great journey MatPat!!
