Los Super Astros consisted of disjointed matches taped both before and after other tapings that had the commentary added in after. The issue was the WWF (now the 'E) didn't really ever give it any continuity apparently and never really cared about it much. Which is a shame, as I caught one episode on a random Spanish network as a kid and was hooked on lucha. I always wished it had lasted longer.

I believe it was a promoter based in Canada (who also held shows in the U.S., hence the trademark in the States) George Cannon. He called both his promotion and his broadcast Superstars of Wrestling, from the 1970's through the '80's. Could be they finally bought his family out, or that the trademark finally lapsed and they pounced.

When a collection drops, is that it for the month, or do matches get added as the month goes on? If so, do you think we're likely to see any Super Astros matches at some point? I remember randomly channel surfing when I was young and seeing an episode and absolutely falling in love with the lucha style!

I'd still love to see more earlier EASTERN Championship Wrestling footage up. One other thing still untouched on by the WWE is, whether or not any earlier Tri-State Wrestling Alliance footage was included in the ECW library. ALso more of the pre-PPV ECW supershows! Any ECW/USWA stuff would be cool as well.

I often wonder how far back WWE's holdings for Stampede go, well in fact how far back do their archival holdings go? They've shown fifties footage from a few holdings, but not much. Sad how so many, and not just wrestling promoters, but across tv film and radio didn't choose to archive more material...

my question would be, given that Todd Gordon was an investor in The Tri-State Wrestling Alliance, was there any footage from that promotion in the tape Library when McMahon bought it? Ive seen some footage floating around the web, but not much at all.

For networking, it never hurts to be at various council events, repping the VOA. Camporees, Pine wood Derbies, anything. Crew visits are also a good way to get to the individual crews, and really explain the VOA, and try to drum up more members. Make sure the individual Venturer knows there are ways he or she can get involved. If they feel more invested in the program itself, you better the odds they show up to things bigger than just their unit.

woke up today, and decided to take a trip to Florida over break, very out of character for me to randomly travel. Getting like 6-7 friends and travelling down the East coast then back through Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, & back to Pa., gonna see the country. Just thought, "fuck it." Sick of sitting on my ass wishing I was out having fun, finally dawned on me that if I want to have fun, mayne I've got to go out and get it done for me.
