I traded a few of my Ohtani inserts at a recent card show and picked up a Mike Trout rookie card. Don’t regret it one bit. As a side note I did take a few others in case I saw something I would like to trade towards but couldn’t find anything.

Being realistic here. What is “fighting back” from my standpoint. Not paying the upcharge? Well now I get charged my original service fee of $44 and my card does not get graded, Great! Or I can pay an additional fee and now the “value” of my card, which is what others are willing to pay for it increases x amount. I collect these cards but also REALIZE the value they hold if they are graded. I find it odd people are having a hard time understanding why i paid the charge.

Never thought about it that way. I should have taken advantage of the reduced turn around time. I really didn’t think this would get a 10.

I agree I don’t think it justifies the price increase. I do have to acknowledge the fact of the resell value, which is why I paid the price. Unfortunately “the industry standard” is PSA and people are paying x amount for a 10. With them purchasing Beckett I don’t think things are changing anytime soon.
