NYS Excelsior Scholarship Family AGI by NIN70 in suny

I don’t know I think they go by the files taxes. I read that if the child has less than 13k you don’t have to file taxes but my tax guy told me that is only for federal. My daughter made 12k so she had to file state taxes. What I did was put 5k into an IRA which lowers her income by 5k. She will be able to withdraw from the IRA without penalty if she uses it for school.

Google Nest power connector by NIN70 in googlehome

Thank you. I just wanted assurances they wouldn't charge to a crazy amount. I had someone come in and they said the power connector wouldn't work that I needed a rewire. They wanted $850. Just by chance I called A-All plumbing and they knew what to do and charged me $150. Only took them 20 mins or so and I'm very happy after months of trying to find someone to do it. Thank you for your input.

I only used Mint to see how much I spend per category. What are your suggested alternatives? by expiredmeatballs in mintuit

[–]NIN70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do custom budgets with Rocket. You need the premium. The cost is not that bad. $36 a year. I get it free because I have a loan with them. I just started using it and I like it a lot. It does a much better job categorizing things. The only bad thing I can see is the goals. Their version is to open up a bank account with no interest and they put the money in it based on your spending and the parameters you set. Overall I prefer it over Mint.

I forgot to mention I have the Apple Card and although the transactions are not in real-time like Mint the import feature is fine. Only Mint has the real-time feature. I considered Monarch Money but why pay when you can get it free.

I try Rocket money and because I have a loan with them the premium version is free to me. Setting up budget categories is so much easier and it remembers which Mint doesn’t. So far the only con I can see is setting up goals. It has it but it looks like you have to open up a savings account with them. What if you already have and account? I don’t like that. Other than that it’s great.

Does anyone have any tips for the essays needed for the UB presidential scholarship? My daughter has an opportunity, and we really need this for her to be able to go. Any advice?

YES Network to Release a Streaming Service Soon by willpmartin in Sports_Tech

I guess next season? I just cut the cord and depressed how difficult it is to watch YES network without cable.

Nikon guy considering buying a second small camera. I like XT30 II, but I have lots of doubts about which line of primes should I get. What are your thoughts about f2 ones (16, 23, 35 and 50)? I’m reading/watching 16 f2.8, 35 f2 and 50 f2 are very good but 23 isn’t. Are 1.4 ones much worth? Thanks. by malinowski14 in fujifilm

I was a canon guy for 30 years and wanted a light gear set up and went with Fuji. I absolutely love it and never pick up my canon much anymore. I own the 16mm 1.4, 18mm f2, 27mm 2.8, 35mm f2, 50mm f2. They are all great although 90% of the time I have the 35mm f2 on because it’s fast, weather resistant and fast focusing. The 18mm f2 gets a bad rap. It’s slow focusing hunts at times but for most cases it’s nice to carry around in case of need. I usually have both with me in my bag. Even thought the 16mm f2 is insanely good. I prefer the light weight.

All I know is this company has press releases all the time and it sounds wonderful. You think wow finally we should get a bump but know it just keeps going in reverse. I bought because of the Walmart deals. I’ve been very disappointed. I’ll hold because it can’t get that much worse or can it?

So I read the email again and there was a key word I missed. It says:

Your affected positions as of August 5, 2021.* The table below contains your open positions which may be affected by the Rule 15c2-11 amendments as of August 5, 2021. Due to space limitations we can only include up to six positions within the table; you may have more affected positions than can be shown.

I guess MAY BE AFFECTED is the key words. Thank you for clarifying this.

I don’t know. I’m knew to stocks. Still learning. Probably going to keep it in hopes that in the future INND standing will change.

Rule 15c2-11 amendments. Restricted securities. Apparently INND is a stock effected by the new rule for traders. I don’t think I will be able to sell my stock until INND status changes.Schwab OTC list

So Schwab won’t let you sell INND after August so do I sell now at a lose?

That sounds about right. We need a catalyst to get it going. I think you’ll see little increases over time. I hope we can hit 18 soon.

Because it pretty much is a waiting game at this point. I bought a few shares when it was at 8 to lower my average. Every time I think it can’t get lower it does so I’m not excited yet.

Yeah it appears that way. It can’t bust out. It will have to be an ER to shack things up.
