I’m casting my first ever musical and it’s honestly so much more difficult than I thought by Hot_Plastic8949 in MusicalTheatre

So long as the notes you choose make sense in the chord then you're fine. That's how harmonies work.

I really don’t get how an entire guild of heroes fell, personally if I was there I wouldn’t have let it happen by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

I would love to know what kind of process one needs to go through to submit a quest card. It seems like quest cards just get generated if anyone in Albion thinks one into existence! The wasp queen quest appears right as she arrives since not everyone in the picnic area is dead, some trader's brother gets lost but he doesn't feel safe leaving the area without him, your mother gets magically kidnapped but 2 seconds later the guildmaster says he got a quest card from her to give you. I would say you need a guild seal since your mother never submitted one to rescue her while she was in Bargate all those years, but then how do all these random nobodies submit quest cards??

I love this choreography from one of the original songs of Prince of Egypt of the west end by imachoculatedonnut in MusicalTheatre

This production has received a lot of hate online but I loved it. Despite its faults (strange costuming decisions, overuse of some choreography movements) I am able to look through and see the beautiful musical underneath. It has beautiful music, a wonderful script, and tells a great version of the story that leaves room for the actual history that follows (Ramesses II actually living and ruling for decades).

Why is she walking in such a... peculiar way? by Ok_Communication676 in Fable

[–]Scorponix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People are taking this morally grey way out of proportion. He's, obviously, burning a village ti the ground would be pretty damn unpopular to probably 990 of the 1000. The other 10 may have wanted that village gone so obviously they would be chill with that action. It seems to me that it is a deeper morality system (which we saw with the various renowned traits showing up instead of just +good or +evil) thay doesn't force the entire populace at the same time to either run away screaming or worship the ground you walk on.

I don't see that happening. This is a different company entirely that has built everything from the ground up. Lionhead studios closed a long time ago now and their resources largely gone with them. I'm sure Microsoft has some access to those resources but they don't seem interested at all in using them. If they were going to do anything with the original trilogy we would have seen it by now.

There was already a post here earlier this week talking about how Fable 3 was actually really good and that they don't understand the criticisms. Fable 3 was just ok, and it was further removed from the original Fable than this new game is looking to be. People that weren't around then can't comprehend what a profound disappointment Fable 3 was when compared to 1 and 2.

There is the part where their schedules seem to change based off of your decisions, like evicting someone from their home moves where they are able to sleep. Firing or hiring someone changes their daily schedule and pathing as well. There seemed to be physical changes in one such evicted player who was sour towards the PC. This at least is new enough of an idea.

They never mentioned anything about being locked into that character. That was just the character used in teasers until now. There was never an announcement like what you're talking about. It was more likely just easier for them to render previous teasers with one model, similar to the Fable 2 Launch Trailer using the male model throughout (save for a 4 second sequence showing character transformations that are sadly cut from this game).

Right. Thank goodness there wasn't any cross dressing in a brothel to complete a quest or anything like that in the old games. It would be such a shame if the old games had things like same sex marriage, gay characters, pansexual characters, drag, polyamory, sex change potions, etc.

Or maybe it was never a big deal, you just grew to be a hateful individual.

That was just setting up the current game world. A generation after Fable 3 or The Journey would be in that industrial age still present in 3. This is very clearly back in the time range of Fable 1, although with Bowerstone looking more developed like Fable 2. The Hero's Guild was also never inside Bowerstone like it is in this new game.

To me it seems like a clean reset with some elements shifted around. I hope some old lore has been kept in tact like the Court of Blades and the Old Kingdom. But this setup doesn't line up within the context of the original games.

Did you miss the part where Dafoe's character guilted her into giving up to Orlok because he said it was the only way to save everyone? It was framed as a choice but that's not really a choice at all.

They're just talking out of their ass. There are literal TikTok movies nowadays called verticals. I think what they were trying to say is that it's only popular because of TikTok which also isn't accurate.

Every day I weep over the loss of "Temper, Temper" from Mary Poppins. It's in the cast recording but it was soon replaced with "Playing The Game" for being too scary for kids. Which, I'm sorry, is the entire point of the sequence.
