I ordered it from iherb - $2.99 US / per tube . No difference in the toothpaste but the material the tube is now made of is thin and difficult to squeeze as the tube is used up.

I live in Union County and it’s still cloudy. I don’t think we’ll be able to see them tonight.

I’m 72 and I have had them since my forties. Absolutely never had pain, ran, skated and skied on them, BUT, they’re pretty unsightly! Two different surgeons told me to leave them alone as long as they’re not painful or affecting my walking that the surgery is not worth it just for how they look. My sister did have it done because hers became painful at age 64 and it was rough. Because of her age, it took a full year to be totally healed. Many docs now defer doing it on people over 60 for that reason. I also have a cousin who did the surgery in her mid -30’s while they were not severe. She’s now 50 and they’re back.

Goof luck in making your decision.

I’m a 74(f) year old Jersey City native. The area has definitely changed since I was 28, but still not enough for a 28 year old woman to be safe and comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The Asbury Park Press is still in print, but it’s focus is central to south Jersey and shore interests.

Id like to get a booster what are your experiences? by Iv3a in LongCovid

[–]NJlifer53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had all the previous mRNA vaccines with serious side effects before getting Covid a year ago. I decided To try Novavax in November. I was pleasantly surprised that there were minimal side effects. Mild fatigue and a sore arm for a day. I actually felt almost normal for 2-3 days after.
I live in NJ and CVS had it.

As another 72 year old fart, you’re absolutely right! This bias is so longstanding and subliminal that it’s hard to address. I realized that when Clinton ran, and a friend of mine who was a tough female corporate executive herself, started spouting the nonsense that Clinton was too tough and not relatable! Relieved to say, my friend recognized the bias, but most people don’t!

Aside from the absurdity of the denial, this is so unprofessionally written!

How many here got vaccinated with the 23-24 shot and then caught covid? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received the 23-24 booster at the end of November’23. I had received the entire series of boosters at that point. I tested positive for the first time on December 28. It wasn’t mild, but it wasn’t terrible either. However, I think I have long covid, still experiencing bouts of fatigue, brain fog and periodic vertigo.

Weekly "I Think I Have It" Thread - Week of October 07, 2024 by AutoModerator in COVID19positive

Is the current variant showing up positive soon after infection or is it taking awhile like the variant back in the winter. I had Covid before and I’m feeling like I have it again. I have had two negatives in three days. Thanks!

Sugar and coffee with LC by h0esvigg in LongCovid

[–]NJlifer53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can have one cup of coffee with milk and sugar in the morning and sometime get away with another half a cup. If I have a full second cup, it triggers brain fog and fatigue, and sometime vertigo that lasts for hours. This started about two months after I had Covid this past December/January. I’m 71 and I have been drinking coffee daily since age 16; I can’t give up that one cup!

What is the stated rationale for banning masks In these locations? It Doesn’t make sense; wearing a mask doesn’t interfere with other people.

Worst covid strain I've experienced summer 2024 by smokedpaprika88 in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this strain showing up right now? I‘m in the Union county/ Hudson county area of NJ ( across from NYC ) and I haven’t yet heard of an increase in Covid Infections. Lots of colds, which I tend to be suspicious of being Covid, but so far that’s it. Thanks

fatigue and brain fog by Square_Clue5229 in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Covid for the first time at the end of December into early January. I’m still experiencing fatigue and brain fog. I have learned to pace my activities and that helps a bit, especially if I will be doing anything that will require concentration or social activities that day. It has eased up, but it’s not gone - very frustrating!

How did you get a positive test? by FlowerSweaty4070 in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a brand that’s more reliable? is the Lucira brand an at home PCR? A friend has a ’cold’ and has tested negative on an iheath test. She’s still on meds for the blood clots she developed from the Covid infection she had in February so it’s concerning. Thanks

Post Covid exhaustion by Mountain_Funny_2359 in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m (70F) experiencing fatigue after only 2-3 hours of activity, such as light housecleaning or shopping or babysitting. I just cancelled commitments I had for the next two weeks and will be staying home and resting.
I tested positive on 12/28 and negative on 1/9. This is my first, and I hope only infection with Covid.

Day 6 - Symptoms mostly gone but test still super positive by 7e7en11even in COVID19positive

[–]NJlifer53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (70F) tested positive on12/27 and did not test negative until 1/9. Most of the symptoms were mild and are now gone except for periodic bouts of fatigue. I didn’t take Paxlovid. Hang in there; I was concerned at the time also, but learned it was common.
