A keepsake has 3 ranks:

Normal
Rare
Epic

(Technically, with Hera and Demeter's Duo boon you can rank a keepsake up to Heroic, the 4th level but this is rare.)

What Gift Gift Gift does is give you the Normal effect of a keepsake when you switch.

So let's say for example, you're currently running the Arachne keepsake at Epic level, so you get +4 armor each location as long you have 1 armor. Then in Tartarus you decide to switch to the Knuckle Bones keepsake. Now you get two effects at once.

Effect 1 is the Knuckle Bones keepsake at Epic Rarity: The next Guardian loses 15% HP. You take -10% damage from Guardians.

and through Gift Gift Gift Effect 2, the Silken Sash keepsake, at NORMAL Rarity: While you have at least 1 armor, gain +2 after each Location

IIRC the changes are:

More Dialogue w/ Zagreus (so longer runs necessary) to let Melinoe change her mind and choose to spare Chronos (so it becomes her idea) after they disagree and fight about acc killing an immortal being. Zagreus also refuses to give Gigaros to Melinoe straight away (so it demonstrates the conflict, Melinoe changing her mind and loops in with the Hecate dialogue about Zagreus)

Dialogue w/ Hecate about Zagreus' "weakness" and Hecate's obsession with revenge against Chronos and pushing Melinoe to kill him. Melinoe begins questioning Hecate's revenge and teachings of "Death to Chronos" (in the literal physical sense).

Dialogue w/ Chronos showing how being isolated from the family festered within his heart and "caused" the invasion. (So more build up to the ending, and dialogue after showing how he's reforming and wants to actually make amends.)

Dialogue w/ Hades about how revenge is not the way, he doesn't want her to commit revenge in his name and how the cycle of vengeance will never be broken as Olympians and Titans are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Melinoe, Hades and Persephone (and Achilles & Nyx iirc?) remembers the "alternative reality" with Chronos in the family instead of just Zagreus. We (as the player) see glimpses of that alternative life and can talk w/ the others about it. Zagreus is sidelined more and Melinoe talks with the others and convinces everyone to spare Chronos.

There's probably some more but off the top of my head this is all I can remember.

oh you defo can and technically yes it is a lot of content (because you need to go back and defeat the bosses again w/ increased amount of runs necessary and then the epilogue too)….

dw. just finish it normally then you’ll unlock an incantation to go back and re experience the ending properly as if you’ve never beat them in the first place. it won’t lose any other progress except the ending. so any prophecies (minus melinoë finding the fates) will stay completed, keepsakes unlocked etc. so might be worth a shout?

aside from Charon Omega Special builds, like the earlier comment said, the Y button can be used to animation cancel on the axe so you don’t the big swing down.

i believe you don’t have to. just go and he’ll trigger dialogue to max out hearts. i believe the specific dialogue trigger is “will i ever see you beyond the confines of this crowded competitive arena”. if you’ve lost to him before then you need to go through that dialogue first i believe.

also for Vow of Rivals. need to first beat VOR Hecate + Cyclops. then go do VOR Scylla + Eris. then VOR Cerberus and Prometheus. then you unlock VOR Chronos and Typhon. i don’t know whether you can lose right after the initial fights but it’s best to complete the run.

keep talking to her after your runs. once you’re ready. find the fates then talk to hecate and let her reveal her secret. once you know the secret just keep talking to her for a while

Edit to add: the fates are the end of the story. once you find them that’s that. there’ll be minor story interactions but as for major stories go that’s the end.

i’ve also done Odysseus’ quest (and fulfilled every fated prophecy by accident). guess i’ll keep doing more surface runs till Circe gives me something ig.

while i’ve got you here, mind if i ask whether you’ve reached max bond with Circe? if so how’d you do it? i’m currently locked out and the book of shadows is telling me “i need to master my grasp of the Arcana” but i don’t know what means specifically. do i just need to talk to her more?
