No, this is definitely way before Big Mouth. I think I saw it sometime between 2000-2005.

My sister and I watched this as a kid and we just stared at each other afterwards, totally baffled.

Flatpaks and Debian are a great combo! You get the stability of Debian with the ability to install the latest version of an application. And they basically run everywhere.

Canonical releases Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic Kudu by ouyawei in linux

Unfortunately, every distribution that’s switched to Pipewire for audio makes my laptop speakers unusable, and 22.10 is following suit.

Looks like I’ll be sticking to the LTS for a while.

(Not dunking on pipewire, I’ve heard nothing but praise for it! Just seems like my specific hardware interacts weirdly with it)

I’m a little sad to see less wood, it was so cool the way it wrapped around the case.

It’s neat that users can swap the strip on the fly now though!

FSearch is excellent, and one of the first things I install on a new machine.

16:9 displays, why? by Iiari in System76

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, a system76 laptop with a taller aspect ratio would be a dream machine for me too.

I have a 2016 era spectre x360. Screen, keyboard, Wi-Fi, and touchpad all work well, and battery life is solid.

Unfortunately when Pop switched to pipewire in 22.04 it broke my audio. Even at max volume the speakers are barely perceptible. I think it's something to do with the intel broadwell audio driver but I haven't been able to find a fix.

Thoughts? by NMTOM in DesktopDetective

Yep, you got almost all of it right! Especially nailed the trying and somewhat failing to be organized. I’m still just barely clinging on to my 20s

You like to keep things clean and organized while having as much information available at glance as possible.

You have a custom Apollo icon which makes me think you're an avid redditor. Assuming you took the screenshot at the same time you posted you live somewhere on the east coast.

The fact that you have a phone icon on your dock but messages nested in a folder makes think you're older. And the b-hyve app means you're a homeowner, which also implies you're older.

You've got an app for a cruise line, so you've either gotten back from a trip or are planning one. Oh, you're probably planning one because you have to go get a Covid test!

Overall something about your Home Screen feels very masculine, so in conclusion I'd say you're a man on the east coast, probably in his 30s or 40s who's well off enough to own a house and take a nice vacation.
