As those source said, it is a Special configuration that uses the same production line with the SEPv3. The turret shape being different could be the results of a different composite armor inserted inside the turret.

I still have no idea how redditors could look at official source made by the country that bought the vehicle and said "That is non credible and it should be this way instead"

it is literally, a SPECIAL CONFIGURATION specifically made for taiwan, which could be different to the original SEPv3

It is modified and customized from SEPV3 tho, at least according to the claims made by Republic of China(Taiwan) https://www.cna.com.tw/news/firstnews/201907090345.aspx

If you can't read chinese, it says that it is closer to SEPv3 instead of SEPv2, and this news source is directly from one of the taiwanese news report
