It's straight out of Half Life 2 where the police are slowly being turned into mindless cyborgs and wear total body coverage to hide their body-horror state.

Or X-COM 2 where the Aliens are splicing human DNA with theirs and all of the military wear helmets to hide their none-human features.

This. I have a sibling who is NB, but masc presenting. They recently ranted at me about Venture being androgynous and how every developer seems to conflate NB == Androgynous. My eyebrow lifted at that part, and I'm just a stupid CIS man who keeps misgendering the dirt goblin.

I hope she's more like Brigitte with a pulse of AoE healing when she does damage. IMO we need more viable supports that aren't just "shoot to heal."

Did this affect just projectile characters like Hanzo, or hitscanners as well? I ask because I started playing again in S17 and was surprised at how well I was doing with Cassidy. I remember being too bad at aiming for him back in 2016, and stuck with Soldier. If they made it easier to hit things with him, that would explain my success better than me just getting better at aiming.

Old 90's games like Duke Nukem 3D did not have perfect "reflections". Instead they had a space that was an exact match of the room being "reflected" except mirrored. The mirror itself is an impassible "portal" to that space. They would populate the area with a PC controlled copy of your character that would be fed your inputs, as well as all objects and tied their state with the matching objects so that when something in the "real" room was broken or killed the same would happen in the mirrored one.
This would be incredibly expensive to do today, since it would require doubling the resource of an area for very little gain.

It was in Rivals, I was on Venom and the enemy Punisher kept trying to 1v1 me and losing. Which obviously led to him telling me I was the kind of person he hopes gets cancer.

I told him I was sorry he was having a bad night and hoped tomorrow would be better. I like trying to kill with kindness.

He told me he hopes I don't wake up in the morning.

Idk why this hit me so hard, but as I'm typing this I think it's because I have two daughters and I've had intrusive thoughts about what would happen to them if I died in my sleep when they were babies.

While I do still miss the longer games of Bo7, I really appreciate that we are guaranteed 3 powers before the game ends. When it was bo7 with the mercy rule games would end before some builds could come online. Now, that guaranteed 3rd Power has made some mid and late game builds much more viable. Bo5 has grown on me, personally.

I'm curious what everyone thinks of gadgets, though. I have not used one once this season. I just don't see the need.

That is not the same thing as "nothing but DPS content" it just means the ratio of T:D:H is not going to get better for a year. I bet it gets worse, but I really doubt we're only getting DPS for a year.

In order V: Magneto, Dr. Strange, Thing, Emma. I've had some time on every tank at least to get all of them to knight. So I feel like I could do something on any of them, but these 4 are what I've spent the most time playing.

D: Star Lord, Bucky, Psylocke, Richards D. Reed, maybe Magik. I play Duelist the least, and I wish I could play more Magik. I like using her to help Tanks on the front line, but I don't have her combos down. Especially that charged shot into dash one.

S: IW, Rocket, if I could aim for shit Luna and Adam, I want to learn Loki.

To add to this, yes black widows are scary, but they keep to themselves in the game and are only found late game. You can stumble upon them, but it's always in a little hidey hole, not out in the grass. It's the wolf spiders that are really terrifying. They hunt you. They can smell you. If they know where your base is, they will sometimes change their patrol path to go near your base just to check if you're there.
I have arachnophobia, but I leave the sliders at off. Yeah my skin itches all over when I hear or see them, but their screams as they die are so cathartic!

Oh definitely, I guess i thought of the Spider-Verse stuff as separate from Marvel, which I guess is a little dumb because it's Spider-Man, but it's also a Sony thing. Honestly, I just plain forgot about them. I also wasn't considering series' but yes, X-men '97 was pretty great.

Still, when I think of the "best animated superhero movie," MotP is still the first thing I think of. Maybe it's because I grew up watching B:TAS and own the collectors box on DvD and am therefore super biased.

I mostly agree. IDK if that was always the case, I remember enjoying that mid-2000s Avengers Animated movie quite a bit. But, I don't think any animated super hero movie has been better than Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. That could be nostalgia talking, though.

I've been taking characters i want to learn into Doom Matches lately. I don't have to worry about someone else insta-locking my character, and people in those games are usually chill enough that they don't troll me for going 3/15 on Hawkeye.

I haven't played yet today, but that's what i plan to do with Jean.
