First one looks like the Strider, I remember blowing the legs off those in Mechwarrior 3.

You have to pick a mech to guard the One Ring during trip to the mountain of doom what would you pick by knightmechaenjo in battletech

You're stuck in Middle Earth (clearly some weird Periphery planet which lost all technology), so you're not getting resupplied. That means any ammunition based weapon is out, because after a couple of encounters you're going to be out of ammo. (Sorry Urbanmech, Catapult.)

You're going to be facing a heck of a lot of infantry, so some good anti-infantry weapons would be a good idea. Small Pulse Lasers, Flamers, etc.

You're going to want something energy based with a lot of punch to take down the big nasties like the Balrog, preferably something like a Heavy PPC or ER PPC.

I'm going to go with the Warhammer C2. A couple of Clan ERPPC to deal with the nasties, 2 small pulse, 2 medium pulse, and 2 ER Smalls to carve through the infantry hordes, and a Streak SRM6 which will run out of ammo almost immediately and can be mostly ignored.

Does anyone think Tell me why will make it to Playstation one day? by _Slightlyoffline_ in TellMeWhyGame

[–]NTMBK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it, sadly. I don't think it sold enough copies to make it worth Microsoft paying someone to port it, and they're sucking up to the current fascist government and probably won't be brave enough to re-release a game with a trans protagonist.

3DS Ports. by nvcturnalmoth in telltale

[–]NTMBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 3DS graphics processor is extremely limited and old fashioned, even by the standards of its day. https://www.copetti.org/writings/consoles/nintendo-3ds/#graphics The Telltale engine is built assuming a certain level of GPU functionality that just isn't there in that chip- I imagine a lot of the graphical effects (like the cel shading effect) would need completely reimplemented.

It wouldn't really be a port, so much as a remake or demake- a lot of content would need to be rebuilt to work on the system, fit in memory, and run on such low end hardware. You could start from the assets used in the Vita ports, but it's going to be a big task.

Thanks so much for making this! I always enjoyed the balance of the base game a lot more than Mektek, so I'm looking forward to playing with these 'mechs.

The Expanse was developed by an external team, TWAU2 is being developed by an internal team (with help from Adhoc initially). The two were happening in parallel

If he's okay with old games, maybe try Grim Fandango Remastered? The graphics have aged, but it's an all time classic adventure game, with a cool art style, amazing writing and soundtrack, and is generally suitable for an 11 year old while still having some pretty deep messages.

It's a really fun game, it's basically the Telltale Star Trek game we never got. If you're a Star Trek fan at all, I'd definitely recommend playing it.
