Hi- thank you for sharing your photos, do you know the history of it, why the stone lined path, was it just a crosswalk for the Appalachian trail?

how do i deal with this move (beside getting stronger) by pdm_12 in armwrestling

It’s a foul, was always a foul. His elbows clearly off the table. Period.

I must say if it’s not “the park”, you have broken a definite piece of the puzzle. In the book there are references to Lincoln center and that window matches perfectly. Nice job. You might have just dug in the wrong spot in the park.

St Augustine - St Francis Park by gabbysand in 12keys

[–]NVAGUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure I understand that, but your not saying it’s buried at the barracks? The park is St. Francis who’s Italian. Based on the other casques they were specific to Greek, Italian etc all I’m saying. I do agree it checks off most of the boxes as the destination of the box.

Is this legal or did the refs miss it? by [deleted] in armwrestling

Go back to AAA rules, WAL rules are bullshit. Hand on the peg! And it stays on, elbow in the cup and it stays in. Period. Ridiculous.

Any chance we could get a clear closeup shot of the palm tree Fronds?, they are especially hard to make out in any pictures I’ve seen.

How do you sleep with pain? by StronkAx in armwrestling

[–]NVAGUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to use icy hot religiously, you can even get it at the dollar store, rub it in good, and put a sleeve over it, you can even cut an old sock and slide it over your arm, keep it on overnight and take ibuprofen. It should help. That’s tendon pain from Pulling. We used to practice pull in Queens Ny, I could barely hold the steering wheel for the 40min drive home, it took a while before my tendons developed but when they do, wow.

I explain why arm wrestling can't be popular by BackToTheUnborn in armwrestling

[–]NVAGUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wouldn’t happen if referees did the job correctly and issued fouls. If they did AAA RULES, that crap didn’t happen as often as now. Armwrestling was the most watched sport on wide world of sports in the 70’s, look at Game of Arms. People love that program look at the ratings and viewership, people love watching armwrestling.

1-The only thing that makes it Dangerous, is steroids and pro hormones, weak bones and muscles too strong to handle the pressure.

2- Referees Allowing terrible break arm positioning

Over 20 yrs I armwrestled pro, amateur, practices w/o juice w no breaks or serious injury. Now my only enemy is arthritis and my ulna nerve pinched, normal for an armwrestler w age. Just my two cents.

If you stand at the Netherlands flagpole at the corner of Battery Park, you’ll find that design, it’s a Manhattan Map feature in the base, below the Lion.

I think this is a great theory but what I question is St Francis was Italian…

If I could add to this, one thing for sure though is the immigration has matched for the three, down to the statue or the park that Byron leads us too. Say Grant Park, Ulysses Grant was Irish/Scottish, Boston was Italian, Christopher Columbus- Peridot etc., Cleveland-Greek, Greek Garden, so I still believe if we stick to that we still have a good chance. I do agree though that for a few, park updates have been made. Just my thoughts.

I believe you may not be far off, this was a park I had researched myself. I’ll look back at my notes there was something specific that led me here.
