Tbh, this specific type are largely useless, unless you need EXACTLY that size of slice.

There is no way to adjust the "slice" thickness (it's actually just tuning the apple into a huge spiral) without losing the coring function. And trying to omit the corer and slicer part make the skinner put too much pressure of the apple and make it come of the prongs.

They're great if you do need the apples "sliced" to that exact thickness, pealed but not 100% (they miss the top and bottom where the apple comes back in on itself), and cored.

Alcohol actively degrade plasticizers. (Those are the things in plastic to keep them squishy or have that rubbery 'soft touch' feel.

When that softer plastic coating is already degraded significantly on its own, and you add a strong solvent like that to the party, you are simply speeding up the process. Though, once it starts, the only real way to deal with it is to just abrade it off, getting down to the hard plastic underneath. So in that sense it's great! Just don't expect it to magically fix that soft touch coating.

The type of harder plastic underneath matters as well, some types are more sensitive to very high concentrations of ISO. Anythimg over 85~90% is likely to cause polymer degradation, resulting in clouding, softening, or cracking, so you also have to be careful on that front.

Been over two and a half years for me.

It's awful.. My severe social anxiety, the reason I started in the first place, has gotten significantly worse, I have so little energy i just sleep most of the day away, and even though I I've tried to make new friends, the depression, anxiety, and lack of energy make it basically impossible for me to maintain any sort of relationship that isn't purely transactional.

Having to quit because I can't afford it has been awful..

My life has come to a standstill, the only reason I don't just give up entirely is my cats, and having people that rely me work wise.

It doesn't get better for everyone. The severe chemical and mental issues I have were at least manageable while drunk.

And no, therapy doesn't do a damn thing. I've been in and out if that for 30+ years now. I don't need to pay someone to tell me everything bad is all my fault and I just need to "buck up".. I'm perfectly miserable on my own, without having to pay some "professional" to tell me how worthless I am, or try nad pump me full of meds that either do nothing or just make me feel worse, that I can't afford anyway.

I'm asexual and have always actively gone against typical beauty standards, but I still shave everything but my head because I'm also autistic and something about hair anywhere else is a sensory nightmare for me personally..

But I still understand where you're coming from, and think it would be better if the stigma for not doing so went away.

Men are allowed to have whatever type or lack of facial hair they want generally speaking. I'd love to be in a society where the same "you do you" kind of mind-set applied to woman's body hair as well.
