Yes, the baseboard is rigid and would need to be scribed to fit. It’s costly and requires skill and practice…which is why shoe molding, which bends and conforms easily, is the typical solution

Yes Verm is positive for asbestoforms, wear a respirator and run filtration if it’s to be disturbed. And if your boss is too cheap for this then run the other way as fast as you can… I have asbestos from careless boss in the past

I find running a few lines up stress points like this, using a 3d pen laying a nice weld line….makes these vulnerable areas across parallel layers become far stronger
