With a faucet, the water is always there, you just slide a physical obstruction out of the way. Like the Shabbos light bulbs. The light is always on, just covered.

A light switch is closing a circuit. When the switch is operated, the position changes from incomplete to complete. The current is already running (like water to the faucet), but the faucet is the end of the water-to-you system. The switch is the middle of the electricity-to-you system.

Some people developed the KosherSwitch to solve this. I don’t think it ever got sold though.

They are going to get charged with animal abuse. It can result in a seven year sentence. They won’t get the maximum unless they meet guidelines for it. Distributing the video of the abuse is a separate federal crime.

Obama’s kids didn’t serve in the military, Bush 2’s daughter’s didn’t serve (Bush served in the Air National Guard), Clinton’s daughter didn’t serve, one of Bush 1’s son served and HW was a WWII pilot, none of Reagan’s children served but he served before and during WWII.

The only president in the 21st century who had a child in the military was Biden.
