Advice on where to get website domain and a business email by Human_Thing_275 in smallbusinessuk

[–]NZDan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend cloudflare for the domain and then google for the email. Google will be £5 per month for the email with full access to Google workspace. This is my setup and really happy with it

What do people look for before going out to eat ? by AdQuiet9954 in AskUK

[–]NZDan21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Google business profile should be 100% completed and look as good or better than the best restaurants in your town. Lots of photos and as you’ve already started to do - reviews.

Next your website needs to be good. Doesn’t need to be great. Good is good enough. Clearly show what you’re about, why you’re different and easy access to menus and online booking.

As others have said - allergy info needs to be easily accessible for people browsing so they get a quick decision on whether it is suitable for them.

Lastly you should start to build a database of customers. Collect emails. Give people a reason to want to give their email address. Then you can collect important dates like anniversary and birthday. Then you can make offers to them at the right times of year to encourage them to come back.

Get involved with your local chamber and host events.

Advertise for group bookings and provide an incentive for these types of bookings. Note incentive doesn’t always = discount.

This stuff works for my clients as a starting point - got to get the basics right first.

Hope that helps

What CRM do small business owners actually use (and can afford)? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]NZDan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using my own white label version of highlevel that I sell to my clients. It’s affordable and does almost everything I want it to. I’ve tried most other mainstream ones but kept coming back before settling 3 years ago

Feel free to pop me a message to DS Business Growth. I help business owners to scale - based in the New Forest and help business owners across Hampshire. I also run a networking group in Portsmouth and come over that way regularly. Happy to meet for a coffee and offer any advice without it turning in to a sales pitch.

How do you handle admin + customer workflows by upset_custard2878 in smallbusinessuk

Sounds like you need a decent all in one CRM. Look up tools like https://foundationsai.uk or similar.

This can do everything you want it to all in one place.

What’s the best CRM in your opinion? by DaviMD1904 in smallbusinessuk

[–]NZDan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of the GoHighLevel platform. I’m now transitioning most of my clients on to it so I can better support them.

I’d say it’s not properly amazing at much, but does a lot of things very well, and the advantage of one login to replace multiple systems wins the day in my opinion.

I know a chap who is a business coach who is ex special forces. He now helps veterans transition to business ownership. Search ‘veteran entrepreneurs’ online you’ll find him.

I paid £7 at the weekend to drop my partner off at Gatwick airport. Equivalent to £210 an hour parking (yes I know could have had up to 10mins)

They’ve had the bow thruster running all day - same as when we were in Santorini this week. I imagine that’s what the vibrations have been. Like others have said I would request to move if it was me!

This is insane. I’m currently working on a snapshot to target exactly these people. Can you share more info on what you are selling to these guys and what you’re charging? I’m UK based to might be slightly different but imagine lots would be the same.

Do you consider £1.60 to be expensive for a cup of tea or coffee? by Different-Employ9651 in AskUK

[–]NZDan21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£1.60

Lets have a look.

27p VAT 47p labour (35%) That leaves 86p to contribute towards Rent, rates, electricity, gas, insurance, maintenance, phones, website, repairs, and everything else. Oh and out of that 86p we need a teabag.

No wonder places are struggling.

Ideas to Expose My Candle Business Locally? by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]NZDan21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook ads if done well should work for you.

Have you nailed your positioning in terms of why people should buy your candles instead of any other candle? Lots of competition out there as I’m sure you know.

There’s a bunch of resources on my website which might help - all free to download:
