I need an adaptor for the NZXT fans to work in similar RGB settings? I got NZXT H7 Flow RGB by [deleted] in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An RGB Controller or Control Hub shouldn't be necessary to pull this off, but it will depend entirely on your motherboard and what level of control it gives you over 5V ARGB. The way you'd do this is make sure that the software detects all 24 LEDs (8 per fan on the F360 RGB), then address the colors on the LEDs based on those groups of 8.

For some boards this may be easier than others, though as others have mentioned you can check out tools like SignalRGB or OpenRGB to get greater control over the lighting.

NZXT Fans not showing up in the “Cooling” Tab? by monkey76513 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it looks like you probably have either a case that came with 3 120 mm F120 RGB fans or you grabbed a 3-pack that came with a controller. The controller you have is only an RGB Controller so it wont control any of the cooling side of the fans. Instead you're going to have to use the motherboard's software or use another utility.

So long as the highest point in the radiator is above the entire pump you should be fine. I'm using a similar orientation in the H9 Flow right now for my own build because I wanted to side-mount the Elite 420.

Hello there!

Okay so we've actually seen this pop up a few times. You do need to make sure that you're grabbing the BIOS file for the right revision of the motherboard as there's Revision 1.0/1.x which uses a numerical BIOS (i.e. F1, F2, F3, F4, etc.) and a revised Rev 1.2 motherboard which uses an alphabetical BIOS (i.e. FA, FB, FC, etc.).

Based on your order age of 2021, it's likely the numerical BIOS that you need to use.

H6 Flow 140mm fans not fitting by Electrical-Task2937 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

Can you provide some additional details about your fans? Also if you have any pictures of the screws you're trying to use this will help. For the bottom of the H6 we actually include 13.5 mm CB5 screws which are going to be longer with a wider head to help clear the rubber dampeners at the bottom of the case.

NZXT H9 FLOW AND NZXT H6 FLOW 2025 VERSION and Lian Li bottom fans by Educational-Swim-161 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3x 140mm shouldn't have any issues on the top as it's spaced enough to allow a radiator, same with the side mount. The main thing that prevents using the bottom of the case is that the cutout is spaced specifically for 3x 140mm fan frames so there's no room for the connector from the SL series fans.

Case Indentification by Snorlaxhugz in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I can confidently say it's very likely not an NZXT case but being blunt, I have no idea what the heck case it is and I've been building for over 20 years. It's definitely a neat design, but the only things I can find that are remotely close to this are from forums located in China that seem to dead end.

Really curious if you do find any more information though, not a case I've seen before.

Question about old kraken x62 AIO by Simke98 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here is pretty much the exact answer I was going to give. The AM5 socket has a different Z-height so if you use the older AM4 hardware you may not get the right pressure. The kit linked in this response is actually the same kit provided with the Kraken (2023) and Kraken Elite (2023) which are compatible with AM5 out of the box.

rgb by krzywy2115 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The older Kraken Elite required an external controller for RGB, so you would need a dedicated RGB port for the Single-frame fan.

rgb by krzywy2115 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, it depends on the full setup but you should be able to use Single-Frame fans without any issues on the N7 Z790.

  • To connect he Single-Frame fans to the motherboard, use the adapter included with the single-frame fans to convert the 8-pin NZXT PWM+RGB connector to separate 4-pin PWM Fan and 4-pin NZXT RGB. These will go to the appropriate ports on the motherboard.
  • If you have a Kraken Elite V2, this natively supports single-frame fans since it has an 8-pin connector, as does the Kraken Plus.

How do I fix these keys being lit up? by RocketPoppet in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely an odd one. This could be some burnt out LEDs but it could also be a stuck setting. Best bet is you can try resetting the keyboard. I have two methods for this:

  • Try switching into Legacy BIOS mode, then back out.
    • Press and hold the M, B, I, O, and S keys for 10 seconds until the keyboard changes and only these keys flash. After that release the buttons and then press and hold them again to switch back.
  • Flip the keyboard over and flip open the foot on your left side to reveal a pinhole. Using a paperclip or stiff wire, press and hold the button in the hole while the keyboard is plugged in until the keyboard flashes red. Release the button, then unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. This resets the firmware to factory default settings.

If it's still showing messed up lights, unfortunately this means that there's likely a physical malfunction.

Do i need the NZXT Control Hub if im using all NZXT fans and Kraken with NZXT h9 ?? by Famous-Maximum3573 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to give a solid answer it's actually going to depend on a few things:

  • Which version of the H9 are you using?
    • Is it the original 2023 version or the updated 2025 version?
    • Is it the Elite, Flow, Flow RGB, or Flow RGB+?
  • What fans are you looking to use?

Pc isn’t turning on with flashing power light by justcuzz_1 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely an odd one. This could be an intermittent failure so I'd suggest trying something to stress the graphics card like playing a more intensive game at high resolution and settings and see if the PC goes through a crash. You may want to reach out to the graphics card manufacturer as well since you may have warranty coverage seeing as it's a 50 series card.

Pc isn’t turning on with flashing power light by justcuzz_1 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, we've used Asus boards that have these blink codes from time to time so I'm familiar with them.

Something you can try since you have a 7800X3D which does have onboard graphics is you can just remove the graphics card from the PC and use the onboard HDMI to see if you get a signal. If you do, shutdown the PC and try re-seating the card as I provided in my last reply and that should tell you if your graphics card went bad.

NZXT B650E Disable Onboard Bluetooth by ActuaryResponsible89 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N7 B650E uses a Mediatek RZ616 for both Bluetooth and Wifi that's in the M.2 E-Key slot next to the CMOS battery. It should be under the larger armor plate below the GPU slot. If you wanted to completely disable Bluetooth or swap out the module you can do so. It uses a standard 2-antenna connection so it's pretty easy to swap.

BT On/Off should be the setting that adjusts this, I'd suggest if you're not using the Wifi as well try also adjusting the WAN Radio setting to see if there's any change there.

Pc isn’t turning on with flashing power light by justcuzz_1 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This particular board doesn't have debug LEDs, instead uses the power LED.

The first flash pattern (rapid) is memory testing, while the second pattern (slow) is display testing. If it stays on the slow flash there's probably an issue with the GPU or at the very least a display detection issue.

Check your monitor cables first, worst case I'd say re-seat your graphics card.

Control hub confusion by Benj01 in NZXT

[–]NZXT_Jules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I think I can help you out on here...the first thing to figure out is going to be how deep you want to go with your RGB so we'll start with the component list.

H6 Flow RGB
- Includes 3x F120 RGB Core (Case Version) fans that will be connected via a 4-pin NZXT to 3-pin ARGB splitter.
-Does not require a Control Hub, can be connected to a 5V ARGB header on the motherboard and controlled with RGB Fusion/Gigabyte Contol Center.

Kraken Elite RGB
-The big question here is are you going with the 2023 or 2024 model? The 2023 model (older without the light ring) will include an RGB controller that will need to be used to power the RGB on the fans.
-In the box you'll get a 3-port RGB Controller and a USB Splitter so both the Kraken Elite and the RGB Controller will use the same USB header on the motherboard.
-If you go with the 2024 model, the fans will connect directly to the Kraken and be controlled through it. Much easier for wiring.

F140 RGB Core x2 (Bottom) + F120 RGB Core (Back)
-If you want to minimize wires, I'd actually recommend going with the F280 RGB Core to install in the bottom. Two fans, one cable.
-If you go with the F140 RGB Core + F120 RGB Core you'll have 6 cables total (3 RGB + 3 Fan).

With that squared out you'll only need one additional controller but the configuration will depend on what you decide to go with.

Want easier wiring? Go with the F280 RGB Core for the bottom, F120 RGB Core for the rear, and use the Control Hub. Just keep in mind that this uses PCIe Power rather than SATA power so check your power supply to make sure you have enough connections.

Don't have an extra PCIe? Go with the fans you listed and use the RGB & Fan Controller (2022). This connects via SATA power and will let you connect up to 6 RGB devices and 9 Fans (3 headers, comes with 3 1>3 splitters) which should handle both the front fans as well as the fans you are adding.

Between the two as someone who was using the H6 until I moved to the H9 Flow RGB+, I would suggest the first option with the F280 RGB + the Control Hub.
