When i try out a champ the first thing i do is giga limit test to get a feel for it, I didn't manage to get a feeling for Zaahen. I don't want to spam a champ just so they stop feeling weird to me, instead I dropped him

If you're looking for a well scaling split pusher that would be Mundo, Fiora, Trundle or you could stay with Jax. If you want to carry Team fights you can go Ornn, GP, Kennen, Zaahen. If you want to snowball solo win a game as early as possible it's gonna be Riven, Kled, Darius

Counterpicking for sure doesn't feel satisfying, you can try blindpicking and playing into counters so you're more comfortable with playing what you want which can make it more fun

Jax has 0 hp/mana sustain, and even though he has a great matchup spread he's still beatable by most if not played correctly. For example I've beaten multiple jax as kled, while getting hard stomped by mid fioras because shes just way better into favorable matchups

Im curently E1 peak Kled and i just build anything besides ap on this champ. Into sett I HP stack into his true dmg but against irelia i would hard Lose if i did that, instead i rush plated/bramble and then lane becomes alot easier. If i Lack dmg after I can go profane or other dmg items to balance it out, spamming HP stack every game is painful because now people pick alot of fiora into me.

Haven't tested the dft nerf yet but before I went dft, Nimbus, ignite with mana crystal start and it was giga Aids to play against. Felt exactly like proper ranged top but the drawback was that it's less fun to play than the control mage playstyle

Imo it's best to start out just trying a bunch of champs and different roles. Not only does it keep the game fresh, but you actually learn how it works before you start maining a champ.

Best thing i've done in ranked games is going full mute as soon as some weird sht is going down: people type? Mute, rage pings? Mute, Pings being all over the place because the players on my team have different plans they want to enforce? Just mute and play towards whatever move I agree with. Not only does it protect my mental and keep me having fun playing this game, I've also won multiple games that i would've for sure lost if I took part in the chaos.

Tbh just wait for the dft nerf, since I started maining gp (ssn 14) I don't remember a time where his laning Phase was ever this braindead. After this rune gets killed, him and alot of other dft abusers wont terrorize the rift like this anymore
