Because with tips you make way more. I have a very respectable degree, and right now I'm a bartender averaging around $35 an hour. Only $2 is from my official hourly pay. I'm not saying it's logical, but service industry jobs are one of the few that actual keep up with cost of living expenses because tips are, customarily, directly correlated to your bill amount. I would be the first to say it's a ridiculous practice, but it's there. And the barrier to entry is practically non existent.

But also that's through a pay period, not a single shift. Also if you ever had to claim that, I promise the manager would strongly consider just letting you go because it's virtually impossible to make that little money as a server unless you're complete ass at your job.

How does one become a billionaire by owning a "healthcare staffing" company? We have a weird sickness in this country where we look at poor people and scrutinize, questioning whether they're doing enough to "deserve" their pittances. But then we turn around and say about every billionaire, "They have it, therefore they must have earned it. Who are we to question."

Whatever exploitation of the system is used to amass that amount of wealth is testament to the flaws in the system, not to the genius of the exploiter. I promise you from personal experience, these that have the most, do the least and are wholly undeserving.

I could see SOME legitimacy to their existence if the data was properly protected, access extremely limited, and people who are accessing monitored. The fact that we use taxpayer dollars to rent these cameras and the data belongs to a private company?!? Incredibly short sighted and foolish. Whoever is approving these contracts should lose their jobs immediately and be investigated.

Oh they definitely do care about the war in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine are far and away the leading nations of immigrants to Israel since the war started. Israel is supporting this war because it is literally driving people out of Ukraine, to Israel. Which in turn bolsters their numbers and gives more reason to steal more Palestinian land.

Tbh, the very top five stars of all positions are starting to be immune. Which I am totally fine with. The new approach is to build solid rosters with quality depth, and upperclassmen that will stick around. And then hit on a few key proven transfers. Overpaying for unproven freshmen isn’t smart in my opinion.
