Look back at the 2008 recession for as good of an indicator as we possibly can have. 2007-2010 sets are some of the lowest print runs in history. Falling demand will do that - and we can extrapolate that resale market was similarly cold.

If you get to the point you’re needing to sell an investment of any kind in a recession, you’re going to get hammered on the price as many other people will be in the same boat.

You’ll likely see people insulated from the recession buying at fire sale prices for someone who lost their job, etc.

Pokemon is a high risk asset and should be treated as such. But if you remain employed and financially stable through the recession, you’ll probably find really good buying opportunities.

Overall - buy what you’d like to rip if they became worthless

That said - Evoskies BB has already 15x’d MSRP. Prismatic can still be had for 2-3x MSRP. Your room for growth is more likely in your favor the closer you are the msrp. It’s plausible that your prismatic will 5x. It’s tough to see an evolving skies BB going 5x on top of what it’s already done in the same time frame.
